I'd make that trade. But then I'm not high on either of your QB's and think it's a modest price to pay.

I've been trying to upgrade from Tannehill this offseason and haven't had any luck. I was hoping to see better development from him, but am starting to believe he is what he is. A middle of the road starter (until he's no longer starting).

Eh, it's fine, but I don't love it. I just don't see the point of paying up for QBs in a 1QB league unless they're studs. Prescott is good, but is he really a solid QB1 going into his sophomore year? There's plenty of questions about his development and how the offensive line will do given the offseason changes. I'd much rather have paid a late 2nd for Brees or Brady if you find yourself contending.

Yeah you make a fair point for sure, and I agree mostly. Dak still has a lot of work to do to really become a meaningful fantasy option going forward.

It's worth noting though that Dak's PPG finish was a bit misleading as he only played a couple series in his week 17 game before taking a rest with the division locked up. His actual PPG in weeks 1-16 put him as QB6, behind only Luck, Brees, Brady, Ryan, and Rodgers

It's also worth noting that his rookie season was eerily similar to Russell Wilson's, who had some spells where he held some pretty nice value as an elite QB.

I think we've seen a lot of these young QBs that we wrote off for fantasy purposes because they were game managers that wouldn't excel when asked to carry more of the load, only to see them very much excel when that opportunity arose. Wilson, Big Ben, even Brady all started out with that stigma in fantasy circles. That's not to say Dak will become one of those guys, but young QBs with these kind of efficiency metrics have a pretty good track record in becoming strong fantasy assets.
