OBJ Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Truth! But with how much people seem to value OBJ, I would think that maybe you could squeeze another pick in there? Maybe a future 2nd rounder?

But then perhaps Michael Thomas really is commanding more value than I would have expected after a solid rookie year. Many will say OBJ is worth 3 1st's and this looks like 2.5 to me. I could be way off though...
It's funny you mention "after a solid rookie year." I was a big proponent of putting the breaks on the OBJ love after his rookie year. I figured taking him in the top tier overall just didn't make sense after one season.

That didn't get me very far. :/

Of course Thomas may very well be a different case than OBJ, and just because OBJ turned into a perennial stud doesn't mean Thomas will, but I am a little more wary of the "only one good rookie season!" argument.

A fair offer, but I'd really try getting them to throw in another piece.

I'm lower on Thomas than most as well, but by startup ADP, this is a great starting offer.

I would want a little more. I think if you look at the statistical hit rate of rookies even at the 1.02 on top of a few question marks surrounding Thomas you can rightfully ask for more. OBJ is showing talent and numbers that has rarely ever been seen in football. If he continues doing what's he's done so far he will be placed among the top 3-5 wr's to ever play the game. I have heard others say that no player is worth more than 3 1sts at this time EXCEPT for OBJ. What he has done and should continue to do is worth 4 1sts.

I'd try and get a 2nd 2017 or 2018, then I'd do it to rebuild.

I like the OBJ side of this and feel you should be able to get more for the best or second best player in dynasty right now. I think a different team would offer you more from him

Others here seem to like it so maybe it's closer than I think. See if you can get a second, this year or the next, from the guy to throw in

I'd want something more established if moving OBJ. If you're a big believer in MT then the value is there.

It is a good deal on value, but I am just not enough of a believer in Thomas yet to give up OBJ with him as the main piece. I agree with those posting that you should make it public that you are shopping OBJ before you trade him. I think at very least you should be able to get another piece added from the Thomas owner.

I recently gave 1.04, 1.05, and Dez for OBJ and Will Fuller, and I would rather have what I gave up than Thomas +1.02.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Lots of stuff up in the air, I expect a sophomore slump from Thomas now that he is going to be given immensely more attention from defenders. I would not trade OBJ for a guy that has had one good season and a rookie. You know OBJ has been slaying the league for 3 straight years. It is a big gamble I would not make.
Agree. I wouldn't gamble the number one dynasty asset for this return. I think the fact that you're in a rebuild is clouding judgement for some. Losing value doesn't make sense regardless of team situation. Plus if you're in a rebuild young studs should be who you're keeping.

Call me crazy, but this is not enough to let OBJ go. OP, you should shop OBJ around for your rebuild like others have already mentioned, i'm sure you could get something better.
