Hunter Henry for pick

Postby WP3 » Fri Jul 21, 2017 9:13 pm

I am trying to add an elite back to pair with zeke but haven't been able to work out a deal. Now, Looking to move into 1.5 spot where Cook will likely be there. 1.5 Team is very TE needy so I'm looking at selling off Henry for that pick. What do I need to add to make this swap and what is value difference between OJ Howard and Henry?

Thanks
12 team, non ppr, 1 Qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1 TE, 2 flex (rb/wr/te), 1 Def, 22 roster spots

QB: Wentz, Big Ben, Winston
RB: Zeke, Cook, Chubb, Fournette, Pollard, Mattison, Damien Harris, Armstead
WR: Hopkins, OBJ, Evans, MVS, JJAW, Trequan Smith, Reynolds
TE: Ertz, Herndon
Def: Steelers, Browns

2020 picks: 1.7, 3.4

You'd probably need to add a second. Howard and Henry are probably about even in value. Maybe a slight edge to Henry since he produced last year.

What spot do you currently hold in the draft? I think that makes a big difference. When is the draft also? If it's after the pre-season games have started you never know if Cook's value will rise with a strong performance in the games. Or maybe, other players currently ranked ahead of him get hurt and lose value... (I.e., Mike Williams)

I traded him for the 1.10. I think adding a 2nd could work.

Draft is begginning of august. I have 1.3. I also have 2.1 or 2.3 I could add to Henry but I would try to add two 3rds with Henry as my initial offer?

You think you are taking Mixon at 3... lol.. just pointing it out... don't be surprised depending on rosters to see it go Fournette Mixon sticking you with a choice. Got to keep that in mind.

I would check with the owners of guys like McCoy, Murray, Crow, Miller, Hyde or even Montgomery before investing in the 1.05. I like all of those guys to outscore Cook this year, and most of them should cost less (with the exception of McCoy and maybe Miller).

As far as OJ vs. Hunter goes, I don't think either one is going to be reliable this year, but I like OJ a fair amount more for the long haul.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

Honestly, I don't think Henry and two 3rd's is even close to the cost of 1.5; if it isn't a TE premium league. You can try to make that offer but I'm sure it will be turned down. Ask yourself if you would accept that offer if you were in his shoes?

If you really want 1.5; then maybe start with Henry and the 2nds. I still doubt it gets it done but at least it is closer.

My recommendation is try to package the 2nds into a late first and then offer Henry and that pick. If not, maybe Henry and a 2018 1st.

TE - Olsen, Ertz, Doyle, Cook

I tend to agree with this. I would start with Henry and one of the seconds and go from there.

I like the Montgomery suggestion. The his back up in later rounds if you must and you have a great backfield.

TE: Andrews, Fant, Likely
(2024) 1.03, 2.03, 3.03
(2025) Top 3 1st, my 1st

Team 3 SF, TEP, Start 11 ppr

Thanks for the input! I have a lot of depth at WR and TE and just looking at trying to use some of those pieces to lock down the best RB group in league bc RB's win championships in standard scoring.
