The value of 1.09? *updated / trade accepted*

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

The value of 1.09? *updated / trade accepted*

Postby MMG » Fri Jul 21, 2017 8:30 am

Hi fellas!

Hope everyone is doing well. Was hoping to bounce a question off the forum and gauge the value of this 1.09 pick for my dumpster fire of a team haha.

I feel like my team is struggling everywhere, other than WR. Just not sure what to do here, if I should stay put and continue to build with this 1.09 pick, or trade away from some talent.

I've been offered straight up, in three instances:

scenario 1: I give - 2017 1.09 I receive - Randall Cobb
scenario 2: I give - 2017 1.09 I receive - Isaiah Crowell

or the big one

scenario 3: I give - Amari Cooper & 1.09 I receive - Le'Veon Bell

Anything worth pursuing? Thanks a bunch guys! Always appreciated from my end :)

If you can pull off the Lev Bell deal I'd definitely do that. I can't imagine that'd be enough though. I'd need more if I were the bell owner, but if it works then you're better off imo

Not #1 for sure.
#3 is close, but i consider it an overpay for a RB who won't be enough to win you the title.
I would probably do trade #2 as Crowell has gone for much more recently. However, wait until you are on the clock. That pick may become more valuable if someone good falls down.

I'd easily do trade 2. Trade 3 for Bell I'd probably hold off on. Evans and Cooper is an excellent core to build around. I'd begin selling off everything else and make them my centerpieces instead of trade one.

I'd pick John Ross or OJH if they're available there.

Easy pass in #1. Two is very good value for Crowell, so I'd take that. Three is also fair, but I don't like what it will do to your WRs.

I'm taking the Crowell deal. Between Crow and Lacy / Abdullah you can form a decent backfield and your wr are solid. I'd take that deal.

Crow deal all day if the guy will do it. Your rb's to choose from @ 1.09 will be of the Foreman/Hunt/Kamara variety. All good talents but no clear path to carries and you need another starter. If not then in a premium TE lg. I'd keep pick and go for the young TE of your choice.

Definitely don't see the Le'Veon owner going for that deal.

Biased as a Crow owner, but I'd make that trade.

He's a talented back on a team that's been pretty poor while he's been starting. I like the direction the Browns are headed though, and I think with the improvements they made along the O-line he could be in for his best season to date. And if it doesn't happen this year in Cleveland, it's possible that he finds himself on a better team via free agency heading into 2018 when he'll only be 25. That would be worth the 1.09 to me.

The other course of action I'd consider would be to stand pat and draft Howard at 1.09. TE premium, and you're going to need an upgrade there very soon. Plus you'd have the bonus of Brate on your roster until Howard was ready to dominate touches.

#2 is doable. But I think I'd take #3. Not the biggest Cooper fan and I think Evans/Bell for your team would be better than Evans/Cooper.
