Drop advice

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Drop advice

Postby IR1 » Fri Jul 21, 2017 6:58 am

Team 4- Just over in a 16 team SF- no experience with SF and this big a league(other leagues have 10 teams). Need to drop 4 prior to draft.
A couple questions- With 16 teams is it worth keeping a defense and pk?
-I assume keep all 4 qb's, even if I'm not sold on Glennon, atleast for now he's a starter. It looks like there is a roster
of 4 qbs
-Assume Mathews is done, any value to holding Morris-maybe Dallas trades him and he gains some relevance- I'm short on rbs

Thanks for any thoughts!

I normally like to roster extra players and stream D's and K's....BUT.....I was in a free league last year which was a 16 teamer and some guys had 4 D's on their roster which meant I couldn't field a D or K all season. I am now making sure I roster 1 of each in 16 team leagues.

Can you trade before your cuts? It might be worth shopping Glennon...hopefully someone is desperate at QB.

DWill, Mathews, Morris and Defense. Only drop a kicker if you aren't in a league where he will be picked up and there will be no starting kickers available.

I would drop Charone Peake, DeAngelo Williams, your kicker, and your second defense. Ryan Mathews could have some trade value if he is cut and added by another team. Alfred Morris will probably be cut by DAL, but crazier things have happened if Zeke is suspended and McFadden gets hurt in the preseason.

DeAngelo Williams, Charone Peake, Alf Morris and whichever "D" you like the least.

Agreed that Mathews could resurface and find a role once he's released by the Eagles. Just a gut feeling, but I think he's got the most upside between Williams/Morris/Mathews.

Thanks, have an offer to send Glennon and get Jeremy Hill, fair value in superflex?

No way. Especially in a deep 16-team league, any starting QB is worth a lot. I don't believe Glennon to be a long-term starting QB, but he's still worth more than Hill. I'd try to package Glennon and Brady and your older players for some 2018 picks or rookie assets.
