Major QB trade

I was offered Brady, TY Hilton, M Bennett for my Luck, Funchess, and Cunningham.

Luck was my 1.2 pick this year in the startup draft and he is arguably the top QB in 2QB leagues. I'm considering this trade, but maybe countering with him adding in one of his LBs (Ogletree or Collins) or DB K Neal...

Oops I missed the 2QB piece. That certainly changes things. Having Luck & Rodgers going each week could win you the league if Luck starts playing to his potential. Brady is gone in the next 2-3 years.

True, Luck will (if injuries don't mess with him) for a long time. If I can get three more years of Brady, I'd be good with that too though. Unfortunately, his other QBs are Bradford and Goff, so not much trading power there.

Luck side easily for me in 2QB. I would just keep Luck and Rodgers paired up unless you get a massive overpay for one of them (I'm doing the same thing in my latest startup in team 2 in sig).

Interesting offer. I think I lean Brady and Hilton. Getting Luck in a 2 QB league is nice, but, there is some real concerns with Luck's injuries.. Hilton should be a top 12 WR for a few more seasons.

Exactly why I'm giving it thought...if Brady gets me three more years at these levels and TY will be solid at least 5 more years, I'm good with that. Luck will be great and hard to predict injury (i.e. anything can happen to anyone), but his lingering shoulder issues don't seem to be going away.

Luck by sooooo much.

Brady will be 40 before the season starts. He's got to be in the running for one of the best QBs of all time, period, but predicting 3 more years of good production is super optimistic. When Manning's cliff came, it came fast.

Plus this is real 2QB, not Superflex. And your backup is Palmer, who is 37 and talking openly about retirement.

This isn't even in the ballpark for me.

Everyone who defended Luck is entirely correct.

But, with starting rosters this deep in a 12-team league, depth is essential. Hilton is no minor piece, and in a 2TE and TE-premium league, neither is Bennett.

Here's the awkwardness: I prefer Luck because your team, as-is, doesn't look like the elite of the elite (though easily a playoff team). Thus, you keep Luck for the future.

On the other hand, making this trade DOES, I believe, put you in the elite of the elite.

Ultimately, I'd look at the competition. If you think that this trade jumps you out in front of the pack, then I'd do it while crying. If not, then I'd probably pass -- while crying.

Good offer. But it's a pass. The only way Luck leaves my team in that league is if I get an average QB and stud RB back in return. Your WRs are ok, but that RB position is a real weakness and I wouldn't trade away my best piece unless it helped me address that gaping hole in the lineup...

You cite all of Luck's injury concerns and how that scares you but then say how Hilton is going to be good for 5 more years. If Luck is hurt they both won't produce on the same level...So you may be left with no QB and a WR with a horrible qb.

Personally I would keep luck and pair him with rodgers. People want to bash luck and say how bad he was yet he was, depending on scoring, somewhere in the QB5-QV7 range last year...
