Startup advice needed

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Startup advice needed

Postby Hambone » Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:44 am

12 tm PPR, standard scoring and lineup (2 RB, 3 WR, TE, 1 Flex, etc) My team so far:

Mixon
OBJ, Dez
Kelce

We are at the end of round 4. I can make a trade to move up a few spots with L.Miller still available. It would cost me moving down in round 8 to round 9, so not a huge deal. Other players available (non QBs) include Ty. Hill, Pryor, Hyde, G.Tate, D.Parker, J.Reed....so would you make this deal to snag Miller, take one of the other available players or sit tight? I'm at 5.02 and this current pick is 4.11, so I'd be moving up 3 spots. RB is weak after Miller (Hyde, Lynch, TyMo, etc)...

Only reason I would is it helps so you don't totally depend on a rookie RB. However I wouldn't be upset with Pryor or Tate. It's not a bad deal id prolly do it

honestly I would consider moving up to take Hill, but move up and take your guy because the deal itself is very cheap.

Made the trade. Leaning Miller, guess I'm not sold on Hill. Plus I have Kelce

I'm really soured on Miller. I wouldn't move up to get him. I don't see him being a top in another year or two and therefore I wouldn't give up assets to move up and get him. I'm just nervous about the offense in HOU being a mess.

Not a bad move. It helps your RBs a lot and you didn't have to give up much.

The cost to move up was minimal, and given where he fell in the draft (basically around pick 50), it was worth it. And after him, there was hardly anything left in terms of starting RBs. I'm not too concerned about him losing work for a few years, Foreman appears to be a knucklehead already...

I love the move. Miller has moved into "cheap buy" territory with everyone placing FAR too much emphasis on a so-called "disappointing" 2016 in an offense that was complete crap. I don't think Foreman was ever a significant threat for carries even without the off field concerns.
