Do I trade for Baldwin? (poll added)

This is for a 16 team league, 1pt PPR; 1.5 for TE. Lineups look like QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX

So Baldwin is a guy that I think is still a little undervalued and the owner put him on the block. We got to talking and I have the current offer in my inbox. This is for a 16 team league, 1pt PPR; 1.5 for TEs.

Give: Doctson, Eifert, 2018 2nd (thinking mid to late)

Get: Baldwin, Malcolm Mitchell

Pass. I don't think much of Mitchell so I'm factoring him and the 2nd out of the equation. I don't think weakening your TE is worth getting a WR4 upgrade on your team. The value is good going off ADP, but you are trading away the younger assets for a guy who just had his best season in his 6th year. Also, the Seahawks just added depth to their RBs so they could run more and throw less.

Pretty even. I like the Baldwin side. Seems more consistent and proven to me. Plus I think Eifert is the Sammy Watkins of WR's.

Well I don't necessarily agree that Baldwin becomes your WR4...based on recent production over the last 3 years he would easily be the most productive WR on your team. AROB needs to rebound, Keenan has been oft injured and we are not sure if adams reproduces what he did last year or disappears like he did two years ago. I am a big eifert fan, but I would bet even with the 1.5 ppr he probably still doesn't touch Baldwins scoring. Not a huge fan of Mitchell given all the mouths in NE, doctson is pure upside, and if cousins leaves after this year it could be a huge hit to his value/production. In a 16 teamer it will hurt your TE production, but the rest of your team looks poised to compete.

I actually think Doyle outperforms Eifert when you factor in injuries. Baldwin is much better than your WR4 and I like Mitchell more than Doctson. Easy yes for me

I wish there was a poll to this. I'd love to see the responses. I think it's a pretty fair deal. I would personally rather have Eifert/Doctson side. Eifert gives you a huge edge at TE in a 16 teamer. Doctson will also get plenty of opportunities this year as well. I do agree with the notion that the Baldwin side is the safer side of the deal. So I wouldn't mind going that route if you want. I would look to acquire another TE if you do trade away Eifert. Doyle is poised to have a good year, but you never know and might want to have a backup plan in place.

My vote went to Doctson/Eifert due to this being a 16 team league and the TE premium. BUT you also have a pretty great team in this format so I can definitely see the appeal of being able to plug Baldwin in to start rather than crossing your fingers on Keenan or Martavis. Mitchell is a complete non-factor for me as I'd prefer the 2nd round pick. If you were a team needing the depth in a league of this size, the value is better on the other side (where I voted)

Easily Baldwin side.

Eifert is a fool's gold TE in this format: he is NOT a big pass-catcher (he is a prolific scorer). Baldwin will out-produce him by a significant amount over the next few seasons, and Doctson is a wild card.

I think you have enough depth to pull this off, as long as you're ok with having Doyle as your starting TE.

Baldwin side here. Doyle at TE is sturdy enough moving forward.

Mitchell is intriguing to me, even with all the weapons around him. The fact that he came into New England and was able to pick up that offense enough to gain the trust of McDaniels & Brady is telling in my opinion. No other receiver has really been able to do that. He's got potential. Hopefully he can carve out a roll opposite Cooks so Edelman & Amendola can play more slot/motion.
