Parker or Decker?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Parker or Decker?

Postby SoShady » Wed Jul 19, 2017 7:04 pm

This is for a league that we keep all our starters and draft our bench spots each off season. I'll be honest i'm a bit down on Parker and don't love the idea of him as a keeper. But my only other options are Decker or J Matthews. Decker who is coming off injuries and is with a new team. As well as clashing with Nelson's bye week. Do you go with the young guy who hasn't earned anything yet like Parker. Or the old guy who you hope can still produce like Decker?

My other keepers
10 Teams PPR

QB - Luck
RB - L Bell
RB - J Howard
WR - J Nelson
WR - T Hill
WR - ?
Flex - T Coleman
TE - Gronk
K - Bailey
DEF - Vikings
DE - Mack
LB - Collins
DB - B Jones

Parker has more dynasty value, but with your format, I might keep Decker. However, I'd probably rather have Jmatt over both.

I would keep Parker. I am sure you can get Matthews or Decker back more cheaply in your draft than Parker, and if not, WR is very deep in 10 team. Keep the upside and fill your starters with the many vets that will be available in the draft.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

This was my exact thought after reading the initial post.

I think Decker has a decent year but I also think Parker breaks out. Miami hasn't resigned Landry. All of the off season hype has been that Parker has finally "got it" and will live up to his first round hype. I'm going Parker here.

If you want the upside needed to win a chip - you keep Parker.
If you want safe and predictable - you keep Decker or Jmatt.
