Last night I traded Alshon Jeffrey, 1.8, and my 2018 2nd for 1.1 . I needed another RB to start since we start 3 and the Muscle Hamster is suspended the first 3 games. I had extra WRs even though we start 4 so I made the move. I wanted 1.2 to snag Mixon because I love him in that offense but I feel I need to take Fournette at 1.1 . I won the championship last year so I also want the player who will put up the most points now, however, I worry about Fournette with that offense and line since I dealt with Gurley all last year.
Even though I have ARob, would you take Fournette or go with Mixon? Any advice either way would be great. My thought is - Keep it simple stupid - and just take BPA with Fournette.
Thanks!

Re: Fournette vs Mixon
I like the trade. I am not big on Jeffrey though. There is no one right answer here. I like Mixon better in a PPR (by a decent margin) and Fournette in a non PPR, but only a little. Mixon seems like he is more scheme versatile. Fournette, not so much.

Re: Fournette vs Mixon
Take Fournette, it is what i plan on doing in a similar scenario. Unless Mixon was really your guy, then i would say go for it. There was a huge thread on this in the Team Advice pretty recently that got a lot of responses for both sides. You may want to search out that since many will not repeat their answers and debates on the topic again. I do understand the ARob dilemma, but Jax will be run heavy and I worry slightly more abt Bortles/passing offense than LF. The line is improving or should and Coughlin will be dedicated to running the ball.

Re: Fournette vs Mixon
Take Fournette. Hes going to be a workhorse from day 1 and should be a stud as long as he stays healthy. Mixon has a lot of upside but Fournette is my guy here.

Re: Fournette vs Mixon
When you overpay for 1.01 like that you should know who you are taking. I know people are down on Jeffery but chances are he could outscore both RB's this year and going forward.
Fournette is the easy choice for me though to answer the question

Re: Fournette vs Mixon
With Giovani Bernard being still injured I think Mixon will do well to start the season, so if you need the first 3 weeks I think you should see what you can get to trade down to 1.2. Long term I think Mixon might be better if the off-field issues are ignored.
Re: Fournette vs Mixon
Mixon's been my pick for a while and nothing is changed on that front. Depending on when your draft is, the preseason may give you a small glimpse of what to expect from either player. Could tip the scales...
I would keep the 1.01 regardless of who you pick though. The last thing you want to do is trade back to 1.02 and have something happen to either player. If Fournette pulls a hammy in camp, you'll wish you held on to that pick.
If you want Fournette and are concerned about doubling down with ARob, trade for a WR of equal value.

Re: Fournette vs Mixon
It's close, you can't go wrong, although I'm on the Mixon side.
ANyway my real advice to you would be DON'T make trades based on a low end RB2 suspension. I get that you need a RB but don't mold your team around a 4 game suspension. That's re-draft stuff.
