Non-elite TE1s- who you like the best

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Non-elite TE1s- who you like the best

Postby roseyknee » Mon Jul 10, 2017 7:39 am

Which young (sorry Olsen, Walker) outside the top tier (Gronk, Kelce, Reed, Eifert, Graham)and older guys), I was wondering how people rank the TE 6-12? If you're trying to be competitive this year, who's your favorite out of Rudolph, Ebron, Ertz, Henry, rookies, etc?

Kelce

Everyone else.

Seriously though, I hate TEs.

Those two are probably considered elite haha. But can't argue, I hate them too, but unfortunately I have to start 1 in all my leagues. I'm trying to figure out who to target by moving Eifert (also have Reed), but trying to ship Eifert for a solid backup+ a piece.

I think it is Gronk/Kelce/Reed then another tier with Eifert/Olsen types.

Out of the group you named, give me Hunter Henry hands down

I don't think you can consider Graham young when he turns 31 in 4 months haha

Outside of the guys you mentioned and if you want immediate production, I'd put them as Henry, Ebron, Ertz, Rudolph, Doyle, Howard. Now if this was just based on who the best pick would be for the future this would be different.

I personally like Ertz and Rudolph, with Doyle as the cheaper option if you can land him.

I go Kelce, Gronk, Reed as my top 3, and in that order. Feels strange, to put anyone above Gronk, but I'm tired of the injury woes, and I think Kelce is the biggest beneficiary of the Maclin departure.

As far as your actual question is concerned, I'm targeting Ertz and Doyle a lot this off-season. Doyle is extra-value pick - I can get him super late, and I think has the potential to be the 2017 version of Rudolph. If he doesn't pan out - eh - I didn't invest a lot anyway.

But yeah...I hate TEs.

I like hooper as a cheap option, I got him off the wire in December .
I like Ertz but he's frustrating until week 10.
It really depends what you want to spend , Henry isn't cheap

I'd put Ertz at the top of those other guys followed by Henry.

Ertz, Ebron, Rudolph for me. But I'm not paying a premium for any of them.

These are three good ones you can get cheap. I like Rudolph best, then Doyle. I like them better than Ertz because they have a more defined role and will see more targets. Rudolph is entering his prime and Luck loves his tight ends, when he actually has a healthy one (Allen), and Fleener just sucked, but Luck kept throwing to him anyway.

Ebron drops and fumbles almost as many as he catches, by the way.
