Who to take at 1.03

Postby CooperCrush » Wed Jul 05, 2017 5:51 am

I have pick 1.3 in this years rookie draft for team in sig 1. I keep going back and forth on who to draft. I will be taking LF or Mixon if they are there, but want to have a backup pick ready. I really like Davis, but I am stacked at WR and no one trades RB's in this league. For example I have had teams with Bell, DJ, Zeke, Gordon tell me it would take OBJ + a 1st or Luck. I may still try and trade back to 1.4-1.05 and take whoever is left depending on how the draft goes.

So long story short I am between CMAC and Cook.
Team 1: 1 PPR- 1 qb, 2 wr, 2 rb, 1 te, 1 flex, 1 d, 1k

QB: Herber, Rodgers, Lawrence

Team 2: 12 team 1 PPR-1 qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1 flex
25 team rosters

RB: CMC, Swift, JT, ETN, LF, Hines, Allgeier, Benjamin
WR: Godwin, Diggs, Boyd, M Brown, Claypool, ARSB, osbourne, C Davis, Wakins,

Team 3 48 teams:half PPR- 1qb (6pts TD), 2 wr, 2 rb, 1 te, 2flex, 1d, 1pk
QB: Wilson, Josh Allen
RB: Mixon, Chubb, Jacobs, Montgomery, Henderson, Pollard, Bernard, R Freeman, L Miller

I like Cook better, but in PPR and if looking for immediate production, no problem with CMC.

I'm more on Cook due to I like his talent more, but there is nothing wrong with CMC from a PPR standpoint. I don't think you can truly go wrong with this one. Both will be good for you from the start-up. CMC has a shorter road ahead to being productive though.

BPA, take Davis if he is there. Even if no one trades You draft BPA and trade for need. You can always find lower level guys who will be near as good for much less than the top tier of RBs.

Cook is the better RB in my opinion.

I agree I'd take Davis if he is there , WR last a lot longer then RB but if you are set on RB I'd take Cook , he is already ahead of L Murray due to Murray just having surgery, but I think he will win him out for the complete 3 down back

This is really just an issue of preference and I would be evaluating situation to determine which way to go. Both have very similar skill sets. I like McCaffery's hands, patience, and quick feet a little more than that of Cook. Cook has a little bit bigger body and relies on more yards after contact. Both rely heavily on the line opening holes or taking the ball to the outside on sweeps and pitches. Both have top end speed.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

The 1.03 is not the place to be reaching or drafting for need. Your WR corps is sick, no doubt, but you have to take Davis.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬

RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert

Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0

Davis> CMC >> Cook. CMC is more athletic, more talented (imo), better college tape, better college production from a big 5 school, MUCH higher draft capital invested, much better offense, has a running qb which is usually a boon for RB value since Ds need to account for them too, better OLine, less competition for touches, better PPR floor, probably higher ceiling as well due to his athleticism and elite catching ability. CMC easy between the 2.
