This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Sell me on cooks

Postby RTE » Tue Jun 27, 2017 7:14 pm

I gave up Keenan for cooks a few weeks ago which I was very happy with. I've been known to flip players I trade for quick. I honestly don't know about flipping or holding cooks. Some things I read says this pats situation could be amazing, at worse no less than new orleans. Others say to many mouths to feed blah, blah blah blah. I feel he could be Edelman but with more yards and tds bc of his speed. Thoughts?

He would be a hold for me unless you are getting an amazing offer for him. If the floor is the Saints you still have a really good player. I think he will be much better than that. I'm not concerned about the other mouths. Brady will make sure he gets his numbers.

Depends, I could see him either putting up huge numbers in that offense or just so so. I think it really depends on how well him and Brady get up to speed together

Preface: I love KA. He's my favorite player to own in ff (except for when he's on IR, so every year)

With that said, I'd hold, lock Cooks in your starting lineup, and throw away the key. You made out great by getting Cooks.

I don't think he'll necessarily be Edelman. I think he'll continue to at least be Cooks: an insanely talented 23 year old WR who can win you 3-4 weeks every season on his own. He might have more peaks and more valleys as a Patriot, but the potential of him winning you even more weeks on his own is there.

I'd sell anyone for the right price. If you can get a good return for Cooks, then sell. But don't trade him just for the sake of trading.
