Big offer, need some advice - UPDATE

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Big offer, need some advice - UPDATE

Postby Hambone » Tue Jun 27, 2017 4:56 pm

12 tm PPR - I have a really good team, just missing that top notch RB. My team:

Ryan, Rivers
Miller, Ingram, Gio, Prosise, Hunt
AB, Evans, AJG, Nuk, ARob, Britt
Gronk

Got the following offer:
I give: Miller, ARob, Gronk
I get: M.Gordon, Maclin, Kelce

Now, I do like the upgrade from Miller to Gordon, and Kelce is at least on par with Gronk, if not better just b/c he is safer. But I'm stuck on the ARob-Maclin part of the swap. Main guys on his team:

T.Coleman, M.Gordon, TyMo
T.Hill, Sanders, J.Brown, Marvin Jones,
Kelce, Rudolph, J.Thomas

Is this a fair deal. and am I really getting enough of an upgrade from Miller to Gordon??? If not, what should I counter with?

I don't like the deal, I feel like the Robinson-maclin difference is too large. I'm not a huge fan of Maclin however

I don't think it's terrible, but I'd try to get the other side to add a pick or two.

Kelce is worth more than Gronk now but it's probably marginal and a preference. Obviously M Gordon is a big upgrade from Miller but I agree that the gap between Arob and Maclin is larger. Maybe if you swap out Miller with Ingram? I still think the value is on the Arob side, but I like your team more after the trade if you keep Miller and sub in Ingram

I'd try to get him to add a pick, but with your wr's you could take the hit to upgrade rb and long term at te

Arob is worth more than Melvin. Miller is worth more than Maclin. Gronk and Kelce are pretty even. I'd want at least a 1st added to the other side to consider this.

Switch Miller to Ingram and I think this is closer...get Maclin to Sanders and it's an easy, and possibly a no from them

I sent that exact offer a few weeks ago, with Ingram instead of Miller. I may try to swap 1sts and 2nd next year and see what happens...

Then ask for tevin Coleman , maclin is only for your team in a win now situation. Maybe 2 years left max, Allen rob is still very young

I probably wouldn't accept as is. Kelce is the only piece on that side I like. I'm not against trading ARob, though. I'm not convinced he's going to see the targets he's seen early in his career. Pass attempts will go down with the addition of Fournette, and a healthy Hurns and Lee will eat into Robinson's production as well. Nick Whalen had a really interesting thread along these lines on Twitter a few days ago.

Start small with ARob for Melvin+. See if he'll add a 1st. Try tossing a 2nd if it helps.
