Alshon trade

Postby seedawg » Tue Jun 27, 2017 4:12 pm

I've been offered Alshon Jeffrey and a 2018 1st (probably top 5) for my 2017 1.03. Normally I'd do this no questions asked but I don't think I necessarily need wr help. Do I keep the 1.03 and add Mixon or BPA? Or based on my team in my signature, do I just take it and add Alshon and consider myself adding another asset?

Take Alshon and trade him (or another WR) for a RB if that's what you need. Then you still have the 18 1st for free.

He's been peppering me with alshon offers lately but this has been the best. Should I counter and see if I can get more? Or stay put and not be so greedy?

Not a big fan of alshon and his injuries...value...i lean towards taking this and try flipping him for the 1.4. I assume that that owner may have tried that already. So you may need to try another wr for a high pick. I always read on here, take the wr and worry about rb later. In my league I find that very hard to do. So...to sum it up..value wise, take the trade, but if you want mixon, stay. If it were my team.. because it is fantasy football, I would take Mixon.

Not sure if you're both just sleeping on Alshon or not, but as an owner, I wouldn't even do him straight up for 1.3(although I think it's fair value wise). I think Alshon has a huge year playing for a long term contract in Philly, but regardless, the value you're getting on 1.3 is just insane. I know I mentioned earlier how much of a slam dunk it is, so don't even mess with it. Just take Alshon and the pick and be on your merry way.

The best part about the trade is that even if Alshon DOES falter this year(IMHO the best piece in the deal), you have a rock solid contingency plan in a 2018 top 5 pick. It really is very rare that such a lock of a trade comes your way, so I strongly recommend taking this deal while you can.
