This too much for Freeman?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

This too much for Freeman?

Postby Fantasyfanatic11 » Tue Jun 27, 2017 7:58 am

QB - Newton Flacco
RB- Gurley Murray Lynch D.Lewis Burkhead Vereen McKinnon
WR- Odell ARob K.Benjamin Edelman Fitzgerald Hogan
TE- Walker Doyle Barnidge ASJ L.Green

Should I make this trade?

I love Freeman but I'm not making that trade. Specially in a 16 team league. Depth is pretty important and you're going to lose out on that end.

As long as you have enough depth, I think that's a good deal for Freeman.

The ONLY things that has me hesitant a little is who has Tevin? I am not usually a handcuff guy, but he is one of the exceptions.

That's a lot to give up. My biggest hold up would be what are you doing at TE then? As none of the players on your roster is the answer imo.

I think Doyle would be a decent starter for this season at the very least no?

I'm just not confident in Murray and Walker holding much value in a year or two. (Both coming off top 5 seasons at their position in my league)

Possible but I view him as a replaceable talent so you could end up with no TE just as easy. I agree on your views on Walker and Murray. The same statement could be made about your two backup WR's. So you either retool it like you are talking about doing. Or ride it out for a third trip to the championship game.

I'd do it. I don't think Murray holds up for much longer at his age and workload he's accumulated throughout his career. You have enough pieces at WR for depth this year at the very least. I think Walker will lose targets to the WRs that were brought in, so he won't do as well as he did last year. Doyle should be a good fill in and if ASJ can put something together, you should be more than fine at that spot. Maybe you could find a cheap replacement or something too.

Id hold for now. It hurts your wr depth and you will be left without a te. In a league that large you need depth and with KB and Edelman you have two quality backups. I'd wait until mid season then I'd look to package Lynch, Fitz and a te, possibly a draft pick for an upgrade.

If you are legit competing for a title then it's a lot to give up with Murray. If you are a middling playoff team then I do it, would rather be building around Freeman.
