Need help coming up with a counter offer

I've been offered Adrian Peterson for Dez Bryant, and for Martavis Bryant, both of which I've declined but I think that maybe there's a deal here somewhere; just need help with an offer.

I hold pick 1.05 - Running backs go early in our league despite WR value in dynasty (it's why I'm so loaded at receiver). At 1.05 I'm guessing I'll be picking between maybe McCaffrey and Cook (I'm in Cincy, so I bet Mixon goes top 2).

The other user holds pick 1.01 and says he wants a receiver. This is his roster...
QB: Matt Ryan, Derek Carr
RB: Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson, Jordan Howard, Ty Montgomery,
WR: Quincy Enuwa, Brandon Marshall, Devin Funchess
TE: Julius Thomas, Jesse James

I wouldn't mind nabbing an upgrade at QB over Palmer and would be good with either of his (With our TD scoring, QB's rule). I'm not all that interested in AP but would probably take him for Mathews or Boyd but he won't go for that. Gurley and Howard are intriguing but both worry me a little to give up such a stud like Dez or Martavis for them. If I could move up to 1st for Fournette I think he'd be a beast in my league's scoring.

You shouldn't counter at all...mainly because those original offers are horrible and speak volumes to his "valuation", but also because AP will do you no good

I'm passing on AP unless it's cheap, I'd probably shop MB first- getting good hype but personally don't want that risk

How do you counter to such a bad offer. I wouldnt counter to those. I also wouldn't send Dez your WR2 away. Your not loaded at wr no offense. Mike Evans is a stud but Dez is an aging injury prone receiver. I wouldn't be adding AP to this squad. Hold tight and look to move Bryant for someone young

Agree 100%. It's really difficult to counter an offer so bad.

I think you need to go into a mini rebuild. Stay away from players like AP and trade your aging players for picks and young guys with upside. Also, Stafford is fine in a 1QB league and having a good backup shouldn't be a priority right now.

Yea I would just give up on AP. I love AP and all, but his value just isn't there. Your WR's are solid but hardly "loaded" by any means. With or without AP, your best RB is whoever you get at 5 and that is not enough for me to be selling anything off for an old vet

If he thinks Dez and AP are anywhere near the same value, there's no deal to be made here

I'd counter with something just to get Martavis off your roster. I'd find a way to turn him into Jordan Howard.

In an1 qb league a backup qb isn't a high priority. Second I'd offer up Bryant for either Howard or Gurley. If he passes I'd simply draft best player available.
