Cooks + ? = OBJ

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cooks + ? = OBJ

Postby BelichekYourSelf » Mon Jun 26, 2017 10:08 am

Team 1 in my sig.

I've been getting a ton of offers of Cooks+ for OBJ+. I really like the idea of pairing OBJ and Evans together but I won't overpay by much to do it.

The latest offers sent to me have been

Cooks, 1.01, 1.02 for OBJ, Tyler Locket
and after I rejected and said there is no way I'm giving the 1.01 and 1.02 on top of Cooks I got
Cooks, 1.01, 1.07 for OBJ, Tyler Locket

OBJ has averaged 17-253-3 more than Cooks over the past two years. I think Cooks and the 1.01 is too much for OBJ but I wanted to check before I did anything. The draft for the league is this Saturday so the picks are getting a lot of attention.

What should I be willing to give on top of Cooks for OBJ?
12 Team. Roster 22, 4 TS. PPR, TE Prem (1.75). Start 1 QB, 5 flex (2 RB Max), 1 Def, 1 K
QB P. Mahomes, J. Goff, B Zappe (TS)
RB S. Barkley, N. Chubb, R. Stevenson, T. Pollard, J. Cook, K. Herbert, A. Mattison, E. Mitchell
WR AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, C. Kupp, A. Cooper, D. Hopkins, DJ Moore, B. Aiyuk, R. Doubs, K. Boutte (TS), C. Tillman (TS), M. Wilson (TS)
TE M. Andrews
Def Patriots, Ravens

I think Cooks, 1.01, and 1.07 for OBJ isn't that bad. I'd swap Lockett out for something else, maybe a future 2nd, unless you like him.

I'd definitely do Cooks and the 1.01 for Odell. Adding the 1.07 and Lockett definitely puts it closer. Try just the 1.01 and Cooks and wait a few days since the draft isn't until Saturday. I'd then draft RBs at 1.02,1.03,1.07 and 1.12 and you should be looking good for a championship

*edit* So youre starting lineup is basically just 5 flex positions? No RBs or TEs required? You'd be crazy to not want to start Evans, Arob, Watkins, Odell and Allen each week. With a ridiculously small starting lineup you need STUDS.

I love Cooks, but I would give Cooks + 1.01. 1.07 on top of that would be tough to do.

I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

With your starting requirements I would instantly accept that offer. I assume the other team would take Davis with 1.01. You could then take Mixon and Cook with 1.02 and 1.03 then one of the big 3 TEs with your 1.12. Your starters would be studs and your backups are stud rookies for the future.

Agreed. How valuable are TEs in this league? I only ask because they seem to be a bit devalued which to me means that the 1.07 isn't quite as valuable.

Do you much prefer a certain player at 1.01? If so, I would be happy sending 1.02, 1.07 and Cooks for OBJ. If not, send 1.01, 1.07 and Cooks for OBJ and a 2nd (as another poster mentioned). Just get the stud!

I'd do Cooks+top3 pick+1.07 for OBJ then see if you could land Bell/DJ/Zeke with the other top2 picks.
