That degenerative knee(s) condition scares me w Ajayi....Even taking that out of the equation, it's Gurley for me

Not necessarily. Gurley is worth anywhere from the 1.01 to the 1.06 in most leagues. Ajayi is worth from the 1.02 to the 1.06 in most leagues.
I prefer Gurley, btw.
I would say Gurley is generally valued around the 1.02 or 3, whereas Ajayi is around 1.04

Re: Jay Ajayi or Todd Gurley?
Good topic. I'd prefer Gurley in a start up despite his situation. I'm not completely sold on Ajayi yet - but everything I've read out of camp is good news. I like Gurley more, but not by a huge margin. If Ajayi proves he's the real deal with another great season and Gurley flops, I think I'd be changing my tune next year. That scenario I'd wager is likely.
Even so, Gurley for now.

Re: Jay Ajayi or Todd Gurley?
I think I'd go Ajayi. He is in a good offense, locked in as a starter and injury concerns don't scare me - are similar with any RB anyway. Gurley had a major injury, too.

Re: Jay Ajayi or Todd Gurley?
Adding to Gurley.
Ajayi will be the workhorse in MIA this year, but I'm still worried on number of carries and reports of bad (bone-on-bone) knees his rookie year. That may have been a smoke-screen, but I haven't seen anything to say he's going to hold up long-term.
Gurley should give you more long-term success.
g'luck!

Re: Jay Ajayi or Todd Gurley?
Gurley side for me. I don't think all the bad mouthing Rams is a bad as people are making it and I don't think the promoting the Dolphins is as great as advertised.
Rams did improve their O-line, but the biggest improvement was booting Fisher and bringing in McVay

Re: Jay Ajayi or Todd Gurley?
I think they are both going to be rock solid picks for the next few years. Gurley is obviously an extremely talented RB, as he rushed for 1100 yards and 10 TD's as a rookie. He struggled last year, but that's the nature of playing in the NFL. Players have down years, and struggle from time to time. I don't own him, but I'm a believer in that he does bounce back and produce solid fantasy and real life numbers.
In regards to Ajayi, I might be biased because I was touting him as the next big thing and he was my 2nd RB off the board in that class(after TG3). PLUS, I was able to trade back into the 2nd round specifically to scoop him, so I've been on quite a high during his crazy run last season. But, if you watched Ajayi at Boise St, it should be no surprise that he is playing at the level he is playing at. He was an absolute monster in college, and ran with monstrous ferocity. He was a tackle breaker in college, and that didn't change last season during his breakout. He was a wrecking ball plowing through 2nd and 3rd defenders, and that is exactly the reason why he has succeeded his whole career.
I think both of these guys will be around for a number of years, but I think Ajayi is about to rip off a crazy season. I'm thinking back to the days of the workhorse backs, as he is going to be fed the rock over and over and over and over again. If he does not succeed this year, I'd be willing to bet its almost certainly due to injury(which I know is a big concern for many). Whereas Gurley has other factors that might contribute to his season not being as strong as his owners might prefer.
I'm taking Ajayi in this one because I love the way he runs, and every piece is in place for him to explode, but I think TG3 bounces back in a big way as well.

Gurley for me. He is coming off a rough year while Ajayi outperformed expectations. If they can both produce, give me the guy I can buy at the lowest price he has ever been instead of the guy who is at the highest he has ever been.

Re: Jay Ajayi or Todd Gurley?
Gurley for sure. Yea Ajayi looked better last year but there's health reasons as to why he fell in the draft. Goff also is no longer s rookie not sure why anyone mentioned that. They added to the oline and got a new coach. Gurley is the best piece on his offense where jay is like 2nd-3rd. I like Ajayi he's just not up with Gurley yet.
