The Seachickens Backfield

Postby FKC » Sat Jun 24, 2017 7:15 am

What is everyone doing with Seattle running backs? I own Rawls and am torn on what I should do with him. Should I trade him or is he a hold? If I trade him, what's his current value? What would you take for Rawls?

At this point, its hard to decide which backfield is more risky to roll the dice with, Seattle or New England. Both are high on my avoid list. I feel confident Lacy will be injured. He is never in shape and that is why he is always injured. Even after that happens, it will still be a RBBC with Prosise, Rawls and even Carter getting totes. That makes all of them unstartable and almost worthless unless I was desperate.

I agree that NE and Seattle are backfields to avoid. I've always liked Rawls. I picked him up as a FA the year he came out, but I feel like it might be time to cut bait and get what I can for him.

I'm holding Rawls. I think Lacy tanks and he will be lead dog. His value is in the toilet now so you might as will sit tight. Gonna sell during the season if his value goes up and I get a decent offer.

Just an FYI, Lacy missed 2 games out of 48 in his first three seasons. Last year was his first year missing extended time, and he still averaged a 5.1 YPC. I'm not sure exactly how this backfield will shake out, but I do think Lacy is going to be a MAJOR factor, and I'm confident in saying Carroll will give him every opportunity to be the guy, as he is exactly the type of runner SEA seems to thrive off of.
Entering year ten of Dynasty 10 team 2QB/2RB/4WR/1TE/1FLEX(rb/wr/te).

TE: Evan Engram, David Njoku, Trey McBride, Matt LaPorta Jelani Woods, Bob Tonyan.

I recently traded for Rawls and gave up Booker. I don't believe fat Eddie will do any good.

You might be able to get a 2nd for him from the Lacy owner. I'd rather own Lacy of all the 3 backs, but I think Prosise will have some ppr value on his own.

At this point, you are better off holding Rawls and hoping he does something.... trying to trade him now would be pointless since his value is so low.

I think this is the play, and it's what I'm looking to do as well. Now I'm not saying that Lacy will falter, but we've seen it before. If it happens and Rawls produces I'll look at that as possibly my last chance to sell high on Rawls.

If you can get anything with a 2nd value (pick or player), do it now whatever it is. That's great value if you can find a fan, and Rawls may easily never reach that value again.

With your team, you have a lot youth, so a couple handcuffs would be useful. I'd trade straight up for: Jaquizz, Damien Williams, Jonathan Williams, Kenyon Drake. I'd also be interested in WRs like Hurns, Marquise Lee, Kenny Stills.

Otherwise hold.

Lacy is the only RB in that backfield I care to own right now. I'd roster Prosise as well. Zero interest in Rawls. He was awful when he came back healthy last season and gave a vote of no confidence for his future potential.

Rawls value is so low, it wouldn't be worth trading unless you can target owners who have Lacy or Prosise. That backfield is one to avoid as its impossible to predict, Lacy holds all the cards though, it just depends on his motivation.

Lacy has his obvious issues and Prosise played in what, one game? Rawls is a strong hold/buy low. He ripped off 5/6 yards a carry two years with relative ease. Broken ankles take time when you cut and burst as much as he does.
