Weak at RB - Which of these WR will equal best RB?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Weak at RB - Which of these WR will equal best RB?

Postby Dizzle » Thu Jun 22, 2017 2:29 pm

For Team 2 in Sig.

I have no picks in first two rounds this year. I have 3 2018 first rounders. My WR corp of Cooks, Diggs, Allen, Pryor, Lockett should equate to some decent RBs, eh?
I was thinking like a Cooks for Mel Gordon deal or Diggs/Allen/Pryor for a Freeman type back. And if I really want to be ambitious I have a 2018 first I can tack on. How ambitious should I go? Shoot for the moon? If I miss, atleast I get the stars right? LoL

Is this a superflex league???

If so you have some work to to at your QB spot too!

Yes it is a superflex and yes by QB need a bit of work, but my RB are in worse shape... I suppose I could see about upgrading both positions. But I don't want to be TOO ambitious.

I'd try to keep Allen, Cooks, and Diggs intact and move Pryor for a RB. You're not going to get Freeman with Pryor, but if you add one of those firsts, it might get done.

If any of those 18 picks are going to be early, I'd keep them and hope to land Darnold or one of the other top QBs coming out.

I'm not sure it's worth going after a RB this way, the team doesn't look like it's one player away from competitiveness. I'd try and sell Brees for a younger option like Wentz. I'd try and sell Pryor for at least a future 1st. And I'd try to sell Reed for a lesser TE plus X; like Ebron and a future 2nd. That should set you up nicely for the rebuild come next draft

Can I assume that D.Johnson is Duke (CLE) and not David (ARZ)? Assuming that, you do need to take an action.

If you are willing to move a 2018 1st, look at moving Flaco and a 2018 1st + a WR of your choice for a RB. See if you can upgrade someones QB2. In a 1 QB 12-team, you should be able to get a decent waiver QB for your bye-week and this trade would make you competitive.

If you get a counter, offer Brees but pull back your 2018 1st. You are rebuilding.

g'luck!
