Can I contend? Make push for Arob?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Can I contend? Make push for Arob?

Postby Golly Dagger » Thu Jun 22, 2017 11:05 am

Realistically, can team 1 in my sig contend? Should I make a push for Arob? The owner is in rebuild and offering Arob for 3 firsts. Two of which should be top 4. The other is a 2019 that could be pretty high as well.

Thanks in advance!

I think you need RB help and three picks next year should take care of it. Jax will become more run heavy with LF and new management. I would not give up all 3 for him. People will say he is worth it.
Let's say those picks were this year. Would you give up LF, mixon, and OJ Howard for arob? If yes, then do it.

I think you are a year a way at least which means the picks are probably more valuable. Unless you can use them to get a better RB, but still I wouldn't feel great about Mike Williams being my flex each week and Gore being my RB2

I think with Arob and maybe another RB, you can contend. The 3 firsts seems like a lot, but it would be worth it if you win a championship. I think most would agree that 2 firsts isn't enough for Arob, so 3 wouldn't be that far off.

I don't think you're ready to compete just yet. Keep the picks and balance our your roster with em. You could try to see if he'll do Keenan Allen and something for Arob.

With your roster you can be competitive now, would need to get lucky to win it all. I've seen worse teams win. So then you add all the 1st's next season and your building your dynasty team. Good luck.

Cool, thanks for the well thought out responses. I'm sure more shall follow but for now I'll sit tight. I'm hopeful one of those picks can turn to 1.01 so I can land Barkley.

I probably won't slot Williams into my flex. More than likely Diggs or Powell will fill that weekly. I fee your point here though. Not overly confident about my flex or RB2 slot unless Gore repeats his consistency from last season.
