OBJ Trade offer

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

OBJ Trade offer

Postby mmeissner16 » Thu Jun 22, 2017 8:03 am

Hey everyone! New to the forum. Got a trade question I need some advice on. TIA for your help. Team/rules in signature.

Just received this offer:

Get - Reed, Lamar Miller, Melvin Gordon, Tyreek Hill (this league includes punt return yards btw)

Give: OBJ, Crowell, Rudolph, Woodhead

Questions: How do I value Hill with Maclin getting cut and the chiefs not drafting any help?

Reed is a top 3 TE when healthy...but what about his litany of concussions?

I feel like I want to decline this because of how valuable obj is (and I'm higher on Crowell than most) but I'm definitely getting some valuable pieces. Thoughts?

Easy pass for me.

You're getting some decent pieces, but you're giving up a stud among studs, and still giving up some nice pieces on top. I would probably turn that offer down if it was OBJ alone. OBJ should only be traded if it's a ridiculous overpay. He's just too valuable.

I'm sticking w/ OBJ...maybe someone in a return yard league can talk to that value, but in general I can't see myself moving the top 2 dynasty asset for that

That's not enough for OBJ. Also, wasn't there a report out right after Maclin was cut that the Chiefs wouldn't be using Hill as a returner anymore? That may be good news for him as a receiver, but takes a big hit in value in return yard leagues.

Get - Reed, Lamar Miller, Melvin Gordon, Tyreek Hill (this league includes punt return yards btw)

Give: OBJ, Crowell, Rudolph, Woodhead

Reed...dont like him and his health issues. Miller...I think will not be the starter in a year..at least not in HOU. Fan of Gordon. Hill...I thought I read somewhere he wont be returning as much since they let maclin go. OBJ is OBJ, top 5 dynasty player that you have to overpay to get. And this is not an overpay. You are giving up Crowell who I think will be a top 12 RB this year. Woodhead will be good bye-week play in ppr. If it were me, I wouldnt take what he is offering for OBJ alone unless I have trades in place to get rid of Miller and maybe Reed.

Agree with the others. Easy pass. I like Gordon, but everyone else you're getting is a big question mark, and you could argue even Gordon has question marks coming off the hip. Stick with OBJ here.

Agreed with all above OBJ is far more valuable then any piece the other team is offering. I like Crowell as much as Gordon/Miller

If you wanna trade OBJ, keep all the other fluff out of it on your side. You don't need to give up anything else. See what they want to pay and it should be something starting with Hill, Gordon, Reed, and a 1st to even get close. Reed may be out of football with 1 wrong hit, a 1st always bust, and Hill has a ton of risk. Even Gordon has some. But in no way would I be packaging other assets with him.
