1.05 or Lamar Miller?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which Side?

1.05 or Lamar Miller?

Postby Gtdano_14 » Tue Jun 20, 2017 9:24 am

Team in sig. Who would you rather have?

Context: Other team is a division rival with a very good team himself. I was just planning on taking whoever fell to me and I have no idea who that will be. I can only rule out LF at this point. I offered him 1.05 for Miller and 1.15 and this was his counter. Our draft won't be until late July/early August. He has the 15th pick in all 4 rounds.

Any comments appreciated as I keep going back and forth on this and what to counter if anything.

You dont need Walker.. I would try 1.05 + 3rd for Miller + 1.15.

I think Miller for the 1.05 is a good price to get so anything you get on top is just icing for me.

Getting Miller/Walker for the 1.05 is a decent value.

It's not bad value like others said, but I'd still prefer the 1.05.

I'm a Miller owner but I'd probably prefer the pick. Workhorse RBs dominate the league now even though they are few and far between. A year from now you will wish you made the trade. Miller does have a good workload in recent years but the drafting of Foreman signifies they wish to lessen his load a little. Not that it's a bad thing but I just don't see him being elite.

it's nice to make a move now but i think i'd prefer to wait until you are on the clock to swing a deal. Let rookie fever build...the 1.05 will only get more valuable in others minds the closer to the draft you get. I think i'd rather have the 1.05 but if its draft day and you can get Miller and the 1.15 then i'd probably make that deal. if not, take the best player available.

I'd keep the 1.05 and draft the last of the Top 4 RB or a Top 2 WR if they're still there. Miller wont help you much and you dont need Delanie.

1.05 means Cook or Williams...I'd rather have Miller.

I have Cook and Lamar pretty similar, so getting Walker tilts it towards that side for me. I would see if he'll wait til it's OTC before I do it though. If somebody falls, I'd rather hold on to the pick and take them.

Before the combine Cook was in the conversation for 1.01. Now he's the consensus 1.05. That's how good this draft is.

Miller is a guy. He's someone you can plug in and be a grinder for you--60-80 yards with the occasional score. Think Mark Ingram. Won't win you many weeks single handedly, but won't lose you many either. I know others disagree with this sentiment.

Cooks landed ina good spot. I'm not a big Murray fan. He ran behind a sweet oline in Oakland in an offense with many other weapons. McKinnon is a SPARQ wunderkin. Cooks will have every opportunity to earn the starting gig.

So if you believe Cooks is 1.05 like me, I'm sitting still and laughing st the mccafferty owners.

As mentions Walker doesn't improve your team. If he would be your starter then maybe. But he's just a depth guy at tightend for you.

Finished my draft few weeks ago and it went
1.1 fournette
1.2 Davis
1.3 cook
1.4 cmc
1.5 mixon.
As a Miller owner id be thrilled to get mixon and 1.5 as I feel he's top 3 this year. So you never know.
