Pump the brakes!!!

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Lots of good names mentioned. I'm personally pumping the brakes on Tyreek Hill. I don't think he's built or capable of being the number one target of an offense - let alone an offense ran by Alex Smith. Teams will be more prepared for him now. I think Maclin leaving hurts his value; and he's no longer returning kicks - so that strips a ton of value off him in leagues with return points. Not saying he won't be good, mind you, but I'm just saying let's pump the brakes!

AP, Lynch and Doug Martin round out my honorary selections.

I agree here, he's too streaky for me. I'd rather a consistent 10pts/week rather than 2pts one week and 20pts the next (just as an example). But that's just me.
Yeah, I hate streaks where my guy scores like this for the last ten weeks of the fantasy season:
Hill, Tyreek KCC WR 13.1 21.5 6.2 20.1 10.1 26.5 12.2 18.8 12.8 15.5
I hate when I take everything literally and have the same scoring system as every fantasy footballer on planet earth. Great stats though draft him, take him, trade for him! He's all yours lol

These players can't really be "pump the brakes." They're not high in value and their season upside isn't baked into the price.

I think Tyreek Hill is the biggest example, because his upside is baked into his price and we have no idea how he'll perform as a traditional, go-to WR. I can't think of anyone else this offseason who's comparable.

I see what you're saying with AP and the Hamster but with Lynch I still find he's being regarded too high.

I feel like I'm on an island when it comes to Mahomes and I am quite perplexed on exactly how this kid came flying up boards. Somehow from the end of the college season something happened that caused him to move up by leaps and bounds. I find that quite troubling. Either there surfaced a ton of film on this kid that was previously buried or something off the football field caused this to take place. I suspect it is the latter. Maybe the combine, maybe his pro day...whatever the reason, I don't like the idea that rankings get changed so radically after the end of the year. They've changed so much so that he's leapfrogged basically all of the other rookies when at one time all of Trubisky, Watson and Kizer were ranked ahead of him. Looking at their ADP:

February
195 Watson, 227 Kizer, 231 Trubisky, 236 Mahomes

March
185 Watson, 223 Trubisky, 229 Mahomes, 236 Kizer

April
203 Watson, 214 Mahomes, 231 Trubisky, 238 Kizer

May
163 Watson, 169 Mahomes, 207 Kizer, 214 Trubisky

Watson has made a recent push up the boards, though not as radically as Mahomes who has moved up 5-6 full rounds. We've also all seen where these guys are getting selected in our rookie drafts. My suspicion is the moves by both Mahomes and Watson have a lot more to do with perceived situations than anything. It's even more curious how the QB selected first in the NFL draft is being selected last among these four. I don't understand that at all. I know many are concerned with the small number of games that Trubisky played in college but he also was one of the best in the game in 2016, been pretty much a lock as a top pick in the NFL draft since the season, and done nothing to merit somehow falling behind all 3 of the others.
Read this quote, finally recognized it's from last year, then realized Mahomes is getting elevated due to his rocket arm but Josh Allen is getting bashed. Mechanics seem to be his issue as well.

Not hoping anyone crashes and burns just think the breaks should be pumped a little. I don't trust anything about the Miami offense right now until they can prove me otherwise.

These 4 are my buy lows of the year just because people here are a lot lower on them than me , I think they all perform way over their ADPs other than Foreman this year next year I think he is a 3 down back in a great offence.

Mack I'll admit I'm not totally sold on yet just because I worry about Luck but if Luck plays the way he did before he got hurt I think he can be a nice RB2 I'm not worried about the rookies there yet.

Drake and Parker everyone knows I love them two I bought in every league this offseason , One person that worries me about Drake is Ballage the kid has talent but I think Drake holds onto the 3 down back there for now we seen what he can do at the end of last year.. Parker with Tanny the last 17 games are really good and that is when he was being a idiot and Landry there , I'm looking at around 140-150 targets 90-1300-6 give or take from him I think he has a K.Allen breakout year just not as good.

Foreman I could only get in one league and taxied him for the year everyone else wanted way to much for him.

To me it all depends on health idk if they will all stay healthy know one knows the future.

Guys I don't like at their ADPs just to name a few

Cooks
Landry

Marlon Mack- One too many backs with just as good of a skillset as him on that team now. They also wouldn't have drafted 2 more if they thought he could handle the load. People are touting too much and hanging on way too tight.

Melvin Gordon- Enough already. The guy is averaging under 3.9 ypc. I think that if he doesn't start showing up, this could be the final straw and it'll point toward true competition.in next years draft.

Mahomes, Cory Davis, McKinnon

Mahomes- all above mentions. If you are expecting a top 10 seasons likely disappointed.

Cory Davis - I love this guy but I don’t trust Mariota to turn him into WR1.

McKinnon - might be bias as I bought in for breakout in Minnesota. Couldn’t keep Asiata or L Murray on bench. Vikings brought in Murray, drafted Cook and released McKinnon. His spike ADP & hype is pure Shanny effect. Get Breida cheap if you can.

McKinnon...
team 1 in my sig needs RBs...i was offered mckinnon for 3 1st round picks...just can't buy at the high point...unlikely he will cost that much again, bound to lose value imo
and even cheaper option is Joe Williams

Cooper..
took a back seat to Crabtree and likely Jordy this season..i just don't see the passion yet, i would rather Diggs, Davis, JuJu
