Supeflex Draft Decision

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Supeflex Draft Decision

Postby dynastysports » Thu Jun 15, 2017 2:09 pm

12 team superflex with idps start QB 2RB 2WR TE FLEX SUPERFLEX 2LB 2DL 2DB 2DFLEX

Saw the other thread going about the superflex draft. I have the 1.01 slot and was thinking Luck or Rodgers, that is who should go there right? That other thread has me thinking I may be crazy.

Would you consider OBJ in this format?

Luck, unless you can trade down and pick up a nice haul and still go QB/QB.

Take Odell or Evans. Iv done a dozen startups and have saw Luck go just once. More often than not the top 4 is Odell Evans Zeke and DJ. I would take Odell and then look at 2 QBs with your 2nd and 3rd.

Trade back if you can. There is so much value through the first 5-6 rounds in a superflex. I finished one a couple weeks ago and if I could draft again, I would be trying to get as many picks in those rounds as I could.

The 1.01 is a tough place to draft from because the draft could QB crazy (like mine did) and its going to cost you an arm and a leg to move up. I drafted from the 1.08 and loved my spot.

That said, if you have to pick, I would go QB. For me it would be Aaron Rodgers, but if you prefer Luck then go with him.

I'd try and trade back to get the first and third round pick of someone picking in the middle of the round for your first overall and fifth round pick then take best QB available with their pick and your second round pick then best player available with your two third round picks (Should be plenty of talent as most teams will be going QB/QB)
16 team .5 PPR

1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 2 FLEX

QB-Jared Goff Tom Savage, Jay Cutler, Jimmy Garoppolo
RB-Ezekiel Elliot, Jeremy McNichols Elijah McGuire, Matt Breida
WR-Amari Cooper, Sammy Watkins Corey Coleman, Donte Moncreif Braxton Miller, Marquis Lee, Calvin Johnson
TE-David Njoku Vance McDonald, Bucky Hodges, Dwayne Allen, Jared Cook, Adam Shaheen, Eric Swoope

Trade back, OBJ, Luck; they're all viable options and you'll be fine with any of them.

As someone else mentioned, it can be difficult drafting 1.01 in a SF because QBs will be valued differently from league to league. The last one I did, we generated a random order and got to pick where we drafted from. The top 3 picks were gone so I took 8, which was the end of the tier I wanted. Shockingly we got to 1.05 and no QBs were yet drafted, so I traded up and got Luck. I've also been in SF startups that went QB/QB/QB to start the draft, and 7-8 QBs in the first round. It's just hard to know how your particular group of owners will value the position.

No way do I take a QB in the first round of a S/Flex Startup. After the dust settles, the OBJ's, Evans, Zeeks, DJ's are still more valuable pieces.

Give me OBJ at 1.01 and a Carr/Mariotta type in the 2nd over any other scenario.
Est. '15. 12 Team, PPR, S/flex, 30 man roster
QB: Herbert, Wentz, Jimmy G
RB: Mixon, Najee, Swift, Hunt, K.Herbert, Damien Williams, Mike Davis, Mostert
