Trade Lamar Miller for 1.4 ?

I can start 3 RBs with the roster in my Sig.... I already have picks 1.2 and 1.3 ... I assume 1.1 will be Fournette.

As it stands I can start Zeke, Bell and Miller at RB and was thinking I'd draft 1 RB (Either McCaffrey, Mixon or Cook) and Corey Davis with the 1.2 and 1.3 ... Only I don't know which one of the RBs to take... It occurred to me that I could trade Miller for 1.4 and take two of the RBs (Likely McCaffrey and Mixon)...

I am concerned with Miller and think he is going to slowly lose touches and I honestly think volume was the only thing that kept him decent last season...

Thoughts?

I'd trade him for the 1.4 , but I'm not really a Miller fan. To land Mixon, Davis and CMC would be a nice rebuild.

Considering the rest of the offense was complete garbage his season was actually pretty impressive. Unlike Gurley who was unable to produce in an equally poor offense. I own Miller and I am not inclined to move him for the 1.04. I'd need the 1.01 in this draft.

I'd take the 1.4. But I would also see if you can something small added in.

Yeah, I hear you... There was something I heard about some of those odd "stats" we always hear about that made it seem like there is really nothing special about Miller. Honestly forget what stats they were, whether it be things like "Yards after contact" or what have you, but made it sound like Miller was god awful... Watching a few Houston games last season, it really seemed like they were trying to get someone to tandem with him, but no one really stepped forward, so the drafting of the kid out of Texas gives me pause...

I see Miller right around the 1.02ish in this draft.
I think the stability he will have regardless to his upside is more crusial to your lineup since you have the 2 studs in Zeke and Bell than the "upside wait and see" side with a rookie.

With that said, dont do the trade and keep Miller. Also I take Davis/Mixon or Davis/Cook if Fournette is gone. I have been avoiding McCaffrey in all my drafts and will continue to do so as I see the upside, but dont like where he is and how they use RBs there. His ceiling is capped by cam, stewart, and the offense which is too much for me to pick him as high as he is going.

The problem I have is the 1.04... That will either be McCaffery or Mixon. Both SHOULD be the starters for their respective teams but nothing is absolute. Both have other running backs with whom they will be sharing touches. I don't see how either finds themselves in better situations than that of Miller.

The Texans have been top 10 in rushing attempts under O'Brien for all four years he's been there, so the volume will almost assuredly be there. Rather than trade away Miller, I'd try to package your 2.12 with either a player or your 2018 2nd to move up to get Foreman so you can have that lucrative backfield locked down.

I'd rather have the 1.04. The issue isn't volume with Miller, it's that he hasn't really shown to hold up when he gets a high volume of carries. I think he can still be pretty productive without getting 20+ touches, but that limits his ceiling for me. The 1.04 will probably have a much higher ceiling and will obviously be a few years younger.

Mixon/McCaffrey > Miller
