TE Premium: Njoku vs Ross

Postby harveyd » Mon Jun 12, 2017 7:51 am

Hey all,

I have a chance to swap Ross for Njoku in a TE Premium league (1.5 PPR TE vs 1.0 PPR WR) while picking up an extra draft pick upgrade - how do you feel about the value in this trade and do you think it's a good fit for my team?
Thanks in advance everyone!

Get:
David Njoku
2018 2nd

Give me Njoku and the 2nd. While I don't mind Ross I just don't trust him to be consistent. So I'd prefer to take the risk and hope Njoku becomes something, love his talent. Plus the 2nd makes it pretty easy for me.

I would do the trade.
I am skeptical of Ross. I mean the guy got hurt running a 40 without pads or defense lol.

Could argue Njoku over Ross in this setup without the picks. Easy yes imo

I agree with this. Ross is my "most likely to bust" pick of this rookie class and I would avoid him completely.

Agree that I'd rather have Njoku over Ross straight up, even if it wasn't TE premium. Throw in the 2nd, this is a no brainer.

Just to play devil's advocate, chances are Ross will outscore Njoku by a significant margin this year and possibly his first 3-5 years.

To be clear I voted Njoku&2nd because Njoku could be a stud TE for 10+ years. BUT he's about to turn 21 and the majority of rookie TEs are a combination of savings bonds and new cars; take years for the investment to mature, and once you drive them off the lot their value goes down 10%..
10 Team PPR, 25 man roster(1st and 2nd year player PS option for $20), QB, 2 RB, 3WR, TE, FLEX (RB,WR,TE), K, DEF.

RB-Gurley, M. Gordon, Jeff Wilson, Tevin Coleman,T. Montgomery, John Kelly, Justin Davis
WR-K. Allen, T. Hill, Josh Gordon, Golladay, Fitzgerald, S. Watkins, J. Reynolds, Enunwa,
TE-Burton, Ebron, Walker
K-Gostkowski
Defense-Vikings, Jaguars, Ravens

Just to play devil's advocate to this , you might be correct, but it doesn't matter. Ross won't realistically be starting for OP's team in the next handful of years. By then, Njoku will be the more productive player.

I would hope Njoku doesn't take 5 years to develop.

And to play Keanu Reeves, that 2nd could just as well end up acquiring a talent better than Ross
