CMC for Derrick Henry + 2.06?

TLDR: Should I trade Christian McCaffrey for Derrick Henry and the 2.06 in my upcoming draft?


I have the 1.03 and 1.04 in my upcoming Rookie and FA draft. I have another owner that it is interested in Christian McCaffery and have a conditional offer on the table.

I am pretty certain Fournette will go number 1 and Corey Davis number 2. If so, the offer would be to trade CMC for Derrick Henry and the 2.06.

I honestly kind of like Mixon over CMC anyway as I feel CMC will likely not get a lot of TDs with Stewart and Cam around, not to mention the receivers and Olsen. Also, I feel that his size may make him prone to injury. Also, the fact that the Carolina Panthers would need to revamp the entire style of their offense to fully utilize CMC properly scares me a bit.

I feel Henry has a good chance at around 50-50 production with Murray with Murray maybe taking up to 60% this year. However, I feel with the additions to the offense and the Titans O-line, Henry has a good chance to exceed last year's numbers by a bunch and likely steal the starting role next year, even if it's still a time share.

The 2.06 in this draft likely will be someone such as D'onta foreman, Jeremy McNichols, Marshawn Lynch, or Joe Williams. I have Hyde/Ingram/Rawls as my current starters so I do need a bit of RB help. I feel Hyde as a starter with Joe Williams as a backup in case he steals the job, as well as Mixon can be my starters with Ingram, Derrick Henry (after the trade), Rawls, or even Danny Woodhead filling in depending how roles shake out.

It's a 12 team PPR and I am set at WR (A. Cooper, OBJ, AJ Green, Moncreif). We start 2RB, 2WR, and a RB/WR/TE flex .

I am trying not to have Rookie fever, but am I going too far the other way? Should I just take CMC and Mixon and be happy or should I trade CMC for Derrick Henry and the 2.06?

I like CMC over Henry, especially in PPR and the 2.06 isn't quite enough to make the trade for me. Maybe if he swapped his 1st next year for your 2nd, instead of the 2.06. Otherwise would sit tight, you are in good position to get 2 good RBs.

Personally, I think Henry is a far superior prospect to CMC.

McCaffrey has a slight frame and could barely do 10 bench press at the combine. I'm concerned he's no better than Dion Lewis.

But this isn't CMC for Henry it's 1.03 for Henry. You have the 1.04 so if you're 100% deal is owner takes CMC and you get Mixon+Joe Williams/Foreman, it's a good deal.

I'd draft CMC then trade him for Henry, just make sure you're the one who ends up with mixon in the end.
