A recent offer for Gurley

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which player?

A recent offer for Gurley

Postby joshuawrobbins » Thu May 25, 2017 7:30 am

For team 3 in sig. owner offered me Corey Davis for my Gurley. I think the offer is close in value just leaves me thin at RB. I also have a ton of youth and potential at WR. What are you guys doing in this situation?

I am higher on Gurley than most and lower on Davis than most, so to me it would be an instant reject.

You are ok at WR and even with his question marks Gurley is worth more than the 1.1 this year so I wouldn't make that trade.

I'm a Gurley owner and just wondering why you think he is worth more than the 1.1? LF has a higher draft pedigree, was a better college prospect, and is in a better situation than Gurley. I want to believe Gurley is great, but one 100 yard game in his last 20 can't be ignored.

I believe in Gurley from a talent standpoint but that's offense is horrendous. If Gurley ends up having a similiar season to last I think his value drop will be drastic

It's close, but I'd give the edge to Gurley.

I love Davis, but you still have to go with the player you have seen be successful before even if you think you like the other side. I like getting Davis, but Gurley is too much of a price to pay to get him.

I don't agree that Gurley is worth more than 1.01. I'm not convinced he's worth as much as the 1.01. This is a dead even offer but one of those offers that you accept if you are getting an additional piece as the recipient of an offer.

Snap reject. Keep Gurley.

That is coming from someone who traded up this year to get Davis.

Jeff Fisher and his middle school OC's are gone. Keep Gurley, he'll be fine.

I am as high on LF as anyone and when push comes to shove I would have to consider trading Gurley for LF depending on team setup but for the posters team I wouldn't trade Gurley for Davis

A lot of people are so quick to give up on Gurley. He still has the talent and I am sure his current owner gave up a lot of capital to trade for him or drafted him with the 1.1.

But the short answer to your question is Jeff Fisher and the rest of his staff are gone. Give the new coaches and system a chance. I see Mcvay giving Gurley every opportunity this year to be the main part of their offense and take the pressure off Goff.
