This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

UPDATE...draft pics vs Ajayi

Postby Markdavis3033 » Thu May 25, 2017 4:50 am

As I was shopping my WRs for the 1.4, I got an offer from an owner offering the 1.8 and 1.10 in exachange for Jay Ajayi. I'm tempted to pull the trigger, but I'm worried about what I would have to use at rb for the rest of the season. As of now ajayi is my only reliable rb (other than old man gore).

My original post is listed below....

I have my 10 team PPR Dynasty draft this weekend and I have an owner who is open to trading the 1.4. I think I have some needs to fill so I'm tempted to offer one of my WRs to fill them.

I have the 1.7, 2.6, 3.7, 4.6, 4.7, 5.2, 5.6, 5.10

Would you trade any of these pieces for the 1.4?
Golden Tate, Jamison Crowder, Devonte Adams (or anyone else on my roster).

If I choose to keep the pick, I'd have a really tough decision to make. I already know that Fournette, Cook, McCaffrey, Watson, Mixon will be off the board. I could fill TE with potentially Howard or RB with Hunt. Mike Williams will be there, but I can't see myself taking another WR (unless I trade one of my WRs for an established RB). My head is definitely spinning here haha

In this league you can start:

2QBs
3 RBs
4 Wrs
2TEs
K
P
11 on defense

Here's my roster:

QBs:
Aaron Rodgers
Philip Rivers
Blaine Gabbart

RBs:
Jay Ajayi
Frank Gore
Spencer Ware
James White
Jonathan Williams

WRs
TY Hilton
Devonte Adams
Jamison Crowder
Golden Tate
Brandon Marshal
Pierre Garcon
Malcolm Mitchel

TE
Martellus Bennett
Colby Fleener
Charles Clay

I think there are only two players that could net you the 1.04. One being Ajayi and then TY being worth more than the 1.04. You would likely have to offer up two of those aforementioned WRs to get the 1.04. Maybe if you find a devante adams believer that could work. Crowder and tate to me would be valued in the late 1st range.

I would trade Tate or Crowder for it but that won't get accepted. I would not trade Ty or Adams for it. Maybe Ajayi

Agree with this, I actually think most people would take adams over 1.04 unlike what the first replier said. Give me proven talent over a rookie any day. I have a similar dilemma with Crowder - could easily see him blowing up in value over the next year, but 1.04 likely offers more upside. I would try Crowder + a pick/Tate and see if that gets it done

You should be able to get more than the 1.4 for Ty. Adams for the 1.4 is closer but should still be able to get something else back. I don't see Crowder and/or Tate netting you the 1.4. You would have to add a later pick.

I'd definitely give Tate or Crowder for the 1.04, but it's not going to be enough. Adams seems about equal value, but I'd probably prefer the pick.

Tate + 1.7 for 1.4 is fair. You will be able to get a solid RB there.

I agree with most of this, but I don't think you'll be able to get anything else on top of the pick for Adams - if you get the pick at all. Adams seems to be a pretty polarizing player on this board. I've found people may value at Adams at 1.4 here, but no one is actually paying that. At least not in any of the leagues where I am shopping Adams. :ewink:

Honestly, I could probably get the 1.3 for Ajayi if I offered it, but would a Mixon, Cook, or Fournette be more valuable than a guy who is almost a lock to get 300 plus carries this year? I'm not so sure.....but the option is out there.

REALLY???
Ajayi had 600+ of his yards in 3 games.. Guy is a bum.
Go get the 1.03.
I will gladly be the first on here to admit I was wrong if it happens otherwise, but he is not even worth the 1.07 in my mind.

I was just offered the 1.8 and 1.10 for Ajayi.

I'm tempted to take it, but I'm worried that I won't have firepower at rb to pull trigger and survive this season

There's no way would I do that. We've had our rookie draft and there's no combination of 2 players in the 8-10 range that I'd prefer over Ajayi.
