Trading for Odell

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading for Odell

Postby Dynasty4life » Wed May 24, 2017 12:18 pm

I have a decent stable of WR's but am looking to bring Odell into my stable. The owner of Odell has 1.2 and no RB's of value, almost no TE's. His depth at WR is decent. I have Dez/Sammy/Alshon/DT to trade off. I also have Gurley/Gordon/Howard to work with along with Ertz/Hunter
Would a Gurley/Alshon/1.7/Ertz get it done?
QB - Love, Jones
RB - Swift, Etienne, Dillon, Dillon, Montgomery, Williams
WR - Hill, Brown, Dotson, Mooney, Smith, Waddle, Wilson
TE - Henry, Kmet, Okonkwo

I personally and high on ALL those players you're giving away so if I owned OBJ I would gladly give him to you for that!

It should at least make the other owner think about it.
Too many teams to list here...

Definitely should get the owner thinking it's actually a pretty fair opening offer

Should be enough, but some OBJ owners might still pass. In which case, I would just move on.

Agree that should be enough but wouldn't want to do any more.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been told that an overpay is what it takes and i'm hoping this is enough of an overpay.

I'd sub DT for Alshon in you opening offer. That would still be an intriguing offer that may get accepted, but could be easily countered up to the offer you posted.

I think it is over pay. I value Evans and obj equally and if that came to me for Evans, I am not thinking twice about it.

That's a very solid offer for OBJ. If it's rejected, try to ask the owner if it was close and what could be modified to make it work. I wouldn't add much though unless you have enough depth to warrant such a consolidation.

In one of my leagues, someone just gave up Latavius Murray, Shepard, 1.04 and 2018 random 1st for OBJ which I think is a steal. All depends on what the OBJ owner values it, but I wouldn't break the bank at first.
