Trading for 1.01

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading for 1.01

Postby Gtdano_14 » Tue May 23, 2017 4:44 pm

Team in sig. just wondering thoughts on this offer:

Give: Meredith, 1.05, 3.07, 2018 1st, 2018 2nd

Receive: 1.01

I'm not thrilled about it as I feel like it's a high price. The owner is in a complete rebuild and also has picks 1.07, 1.08, 1.16 and 2.01. I feel like I'm in a good spot getting 1 of the top 5 rookies already, but I haven't been able to hit reject. i'm working on a counter but would appreciate feedback.

Thanks in advance.

That would be a bit high for my blood. I wouldn't be willing to part with any more than the 2 1sts personally if I was headset in the 1.01. I'd rather do Merideth and the 1.05 but I'm not sure that gets it done for them.

In a 16 teamer, depth is important. I would not make that trade...

Assume the move up is for Fournette? I think you should be able to drop the 3rd or 2018 2nd. Kinda pricy but adding RB would be a big move for your team.

I think you should do it. I'm looking at your roster and after this trade you could start:

Wilson
Fournette
Murray
Jones
Bryant
Nelson
Eifert

Your team already doesn't have much depth to begin with after those players, so I don't think you're risking that much.

Way too much for me.

Remove the future 1st and it's still a small overpay that I could live with, but that's probably what it'll take.

Does Fournette make your team a contender? If it does, go for it and make the trade. However, if you don't think it does, I would keep the 1.05 and those 18 picks. For me, I wouldn't pay that much as Meredith's value is going up. I regret moving him for the 2.03 this year before the NFL draft.

Where do you think that 18 pick lands.? If it's low, ok.

This was my line of thinking as well.

Yeah, I'd go Fournette. I'm hoping to remove more than that but we'll see.

Well I'd like to think I'm already a contender. I'm hoping my future picks are no earlier than 10-12th. I am reluctant to trade away Meredith too...

I do like that starting lineup... although the only difference right now is that I'd be starting Hyde with Meredith and 1 of Davis/Cook/Mixon as backups.

That is a lot I couldn't give up that much , tbh I would be just as happy with Williams as Davis if you want a WR I think Williams is better in the long careers they both will have.

My order is LF , Mixon , McCaffery , Williams , Davis. So I would be happy with anyone of them and the rest of the stuff you are giving for the 1.01

Thanks for the replies all. I countered with the 1.05 and my 2018 1st for a shot at LF but he rejected. I'll sit tight and take whoever falls to me. Thanks!
