AJG+ v. ARob+

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

AJG+ v. ARob+

Postby Generic Username » Mon May 22, 2017 6:56 pm

I acquired AJG on league draft day via trade (my 1.01/M Gordon for AJG/1.02), so I have no real need to move him unless I'm making bank, IMO. But I've had an approach for him in several manners from one owner; though always containing ARob, they come up short. I've yet to counter any as I've indicated to him I'd like a few days post draft to evaluate my overall team and formulate where I might wanna make changes. But now I wonder if this would be a "fair" counter:

Give - AJG/Lacy

Get - ARob/Gurley

He is the one coming to you for AJG so the other owner might have to give a bit more to convince you to move him. That said, the ARob/Gurley side is definitely more valuable.

You'd be winning significantly in the trade you've proposed. So I wouldn't say it's fair but I'd definitely offer and see if it sticks

I'd prefer the ARob side, too. I just don't wanna sell AJG short after having just acquired him. If push came to shove, throwing a 2018 2nd on my end shouldn't kill me

ARob is more valuable than AJG and has been for a while.
There's no guarantee Lacy can get it together, stay healthy, keep weight off etc.
Gurley has pedigree, IMO elite traits, and is still young enough to turn things around and IMO he will with a new staff and offensive vision

Agreed, I think that works value-wise, but I'd honestly rather have AJG...

Curiosity kills...by what metric are you using for that proclamation? The ARob > AJG one, not Lacy. Not saying you're wrong, but I've not seen a single ADP or ranking list having that pan out

Yeah, I respectfully disagree with everything there. AJG>>ARob, Lacy is a decent buy-low right now, Gurley has had four good games in the NFL in two full seasons and his team still stinks, call me unconvinced.

You could add a late 1st and I would still say that you "win" the trade.

I agree with majority, I'd take ARob and Gurley. I own Lacy and hoping he can have a good year, but not banking on it. I do like AJG more, but with age and Gurley I'll go with that side.

A team trading away young pieces like ARob and Gurley for AJ Green and Lacy must want to make a push for a championship run. I would definately take the ARob Gurley side so you should add something of significance to help him get even closer to his goal. Identify a player on your squad to add in the trade that would crack his starting line-up or close to it(add depth). He could also flip the pick you give him too if he values it more.
