McCaffery/Hill Trade

Postby uscman » Mon May 22, 2017 5:49 pm

For team 1 in my sig. Just to let you guys know, we get .05pts for kickoff/return yards, and 6point td for kickoff/return. So Tyreek Hill is a little more valuable in this format. I'm trying to spark a rebuild, as I don't think my team is good enough to compete. So would like to sell off some assets for picks. I was offered this trade, I don't think its enough but want your opinions. I think if I could get his '19 first added on top it would be closer

GIVE: McCaffery and Tyreek Hill
GET: Perine, Shepard, and '18 first

Like I said I think this is a little bit short. These are his other assets I'm interested in: Carr, Lamar Miller, 2018 2nd, 2019 1st and 2nd. His team is probably middle of the pack. So these picks would be middle to late most likely.

Piling on, I'd much rather have CMac and Hill, and I don't generally rely on rookies much!

Thanks for the responses. A follow up question for you guys. What would it take for you to trade McCaffery and Hill with the pieces he has that I listed before?

Thanks

I don't even think it's really close enough to even tweak, he would need to add a bunch IMO.

You're selling short on CMC before the season starts. He's unequivocally the 1.01 in return yard leagues to me. Wait until he's posting 20+ points per game to sell, if you have to. You don't have to go full rebuild in order to turn things around. Unload Dez and/or Bell first and get the most bang for your buck. Your team is middle of the pack, but could be good now with one or two savvy moves. What you're suggesting, for the pieces you've listed, isn't a savvy deal. Perine I really like, but Shepard will be lucky to reproduce his output from last year and Miller isn't a bellcow. He could have a pretty short shelf-life. Better deals are out there.

I wouldn't go quite that far. I have a hard time believing that Carolina is going to use him as their primary KR/PR guy after burning the 8th overall pick on him and then drafting Samuel in the next round. Still, I think that's a bad trade. The other owner would literally have to add all the extra pieces the OP listed in order for it to be close.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties
