1.4 for 1.7 and 1.9

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.4 for 1.7 and 1.9

Postby 24FlavorsofFun » Mon May 22, 2017 11:02 am

For 10-team league in my sig.

RB decimated my season last year.

Currently have 6, 7, and 9.

Thinking of offering 7 and 9 to get Mixon at 4 and grab Cook at 6 (Guy at 5 doesn't want any RBs).

7 and 9 too much for 4 just right, too light?

Probably to light but would for sure be a good starting point

I'd do that if it gets done.

Too rich for me, I'd rather take the chance that Cook falls to you at 1.06.

Ps don't forget to go hit up a handful of other threads when you start a new one. Without doing that this place just gets clogged with new threads and it doesn't benefit anybody. My suggestion is 4 to 1 ratio

Assuming you are set on taking all RB's to fill need... Ask yourself if you like "Mixon & Cook" better on your team than "Cook & combo of 2/3 of Perine/Hunter/Kamara"

I am a fan of Mixon's upside & there is no guarantee that one of your other league mates won't make a trade for the #5 pick & take Cook, leaving you without one of the top 4 rbs... I while can see the argument either way, personally I would likely make that offer as I am a fan of the go get your guy philosophy.

7 & 9 wouldn't be enough to trade out of the 4 pick for me if Mixon is available there.

On the clock draft day probably not, but depend on the other team needed... I think it is fair.

I actually recently made the following trade for the 1.04.

Gave

> 1.12

>3.02
>2018 3rd

Received

I think rookie picks have a small enough success rate that the more bullets the better especially if the value is close. I think Mixon is the best RB in this class, and there's no guarantee he's there at 4. I'd keep what you have until the guy at 1.04 is OTC, then I'd make this offer. Otherwise I'd just take three guys in the first and hope one turns into a reliable start. Much better odds IMO.
