OTC Help - Superflex/TE Premium Start up Draft

We are in round 13 of a Superflex, TE Premium (1.5) Start up. Only required to start 1 QB, 1 RB, WR and one tight end with a superflex and 5 traditional flex spots (WR/RB/TE). I typically like to draft young upside players for the better portion of a start up draft but at this point, I am looking at a potential competitor and am looking for some thoughts on my next pick.

My team so far:

QB: Luck, Wilson, Flacco
RB: Crowell, Riddick
WR: ARob, Jeffrey, Crabtree, John Brown
TE: Gronk
2017 Rookie picks: 1.2 (Davis/Fornette), 2.03

Players on the board that I am considering at this point:

QB: None - depleted
RB: Bernard, Duke Johnson
WR: Lockett, Garcon, Wallace, Marvin Jones, B Marsh
TE: D Allen, Pitta, , Jesse James, Charles Clay
Rookie Pick: 2.11

Ordinarily, I would go Lockett here but with my team, I am kind of feeling like Garcon is the right play. Wallace and BMarsh are other similar options, but of those 2, I would prefer Wallace at this point. Am I crazy to take a declining asset like Garcon over an upside play like Lockett?

Lockett or 2.11. One of the top QBs might fall to you there if you're lucky.

I actually have Garcon having a huge year with Hoyer.. The team is going to be down and Hoyer looked great when playing last year with the Bears in those situations (Fantasy Wise). I personally hate Lockett and would go Garcon here if you're looking at a WR. Both are worth more than the 2.11 to me though as well.

Mike Wallace; he'll be the guy this year and is way undervalued right now.

1.08. I took Luck in the first as the 2nd QB off the board. 3 of the 4 owners behind me took 1 QB. I grabbed Wilson in the second which started a huge QB run and caused all the skill players to drop even more than I had expected.

Thanks for the input everyone. I ended up going Garcon. BMarsh went a few picks later but I was still able to grab Wallace who is just sitting in the basement of MFL ADP rank. Having already done a couple rookie drafts, I have found that there is a pretty large rookie tier from the late 2nd to the mid 3rd. I felt better grabbing these guys and aiming for a couple 3rds while my leaguemates are trying to fill out their roster. I really need some TE and RB depth though. I feel like I manage the RB with some upside backs but TE feels exceptionally shallow this year.

Love your team, and I have one like it in a superflex startup right now too. I think there are some fine late-round TE flyers that can have decent years. I like Clay, Miller, Allen, Higbee, and Brate for this year, and a lot of the lesser-known TE rooks can be great stashes i.e. Butt, Everett, Jonnu Smith. Target some of those guys later at TE, and those rooks in the 3rd round of your rookie draft.

Garcon for me then Wallace second. I don't believe in James even in TE premium

I love Garçon this season and that's who I would've taken, also like the John Brown selection. Looks like a really strong team that you are building.
