Superflex startup trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Superflex startup trade

Postby Tyrober » Mon May 22, 2017 5:46 am

12 man PPR Superflex with 5 pt passing TDs. Draft starts in a couple of hours and I'm sitting at the 12 spot and was planning on taking two stud QBs unless a big name falls to me. The 1.04 has said he is interested in moving down so what's a fair offer to move up 8 spots?

I offered my 1.12 6.01 and 18 3rd for his 1.04 8.09 just to get the ball rolling and he said he wasn't interested. What's a fair deal to grab the 1.04?

I personally would want to stay where you are and grab Winston and Carr.

I'm fine with staying where I am but the only big reason for me to move up is I believe Odell or Evans will be available at 1.04 after talking with the 1st and 2nd picks and having one of those guys long term would be sweet.

I agree with the others, I never move up in startup, I always move back and accumulate as many mid picks and future 1sts. In my superflex I just did, I kept moving back and I have 6 2018 1st, 5 2018 2nd, and 5 2019 1st with a very solid team.
12 team .20 pt per carry 1 ppr RB/ WR 1.5 PPR TE 1 qb 2 rb 3 wr 1 te 1 superflex 1 flex

WR- Evans AB Keenan Kupp Marvin Kirk Deasean Foster Parker
TE- Ebron Engram Doyle Walker

If he's interested, have him make you an offer. If it's not an overpay of sorts, pass. I'd also wait till the 1.04 is on the clock to move up in case Luck or Rodgers are available. If not, I wouldn't be interested in the pick anyways.

That sounds amazing. How did you pull off all this?

Honestly having an active league with a group chat helps. Every pick I had I threw on the block to see what I would get. Made some value picks that people wanted, and made deals based on that. It took a lot of negotiations, but everyone knew what I was after when they sent offers. My team now is as follows:

QB - Wilson, Mariota, Savage, McCarron
RB - Abdullah, Dixon, Duke, Prosise, Kamara, Joe Williams, Hightower, Clement, McNichols
WR - Cooks, Watkins, Davis, Coleman, Parker, White, Garcon, Lockett, Aiken
TE - Fleener, Njoku
6 2018 1st, 5 2018 2nd, 5 2019 1st

Still have some opportunities, but tons of upside. I can package those picks with these players next draft and be an immediate contender for years.
