Trading Zeke. Update completed

Postby Tyrober » Sun May 21, 2017 2:04 pm

12 team PPR superflex

Had an owner inquire about Zeke and I said nobody is untouchable but you'll have to overpay to get him. He offered Cooper + McCaffrey + 18 2nd for my Zeke and one of Corey Coleman/Diggs. Not an over payment but solid starting offer. I told him I would do Maclin or Fuller if he wanted a WR but was turned down. Is there any middle ground here? He came to be wanting Zeke and I am definitely not looking to trade him but will if the price is right.

Wilson
Stafford

Zeke
Howard

Doctson
Diggs
C Coleman

Maclin/Fuller/Gio/Ware

Ebron/Doyle

Deal on the table is Zeke, Maclin, Wilson for Cooper, McCaffrey, Carr. Feels close

*****UPDATE*****
Final deal was my Zeke, Maclin, Wilson, McNichols for Cooper,McCaffrey, Carr and Crowder. Thought the deal above in the poll was fair but ultimately I did not want a fair deal for Zeke. Didn't want to move him for equal pieces but grabbing an extra solid piece in Crowder pushed it in my direction.

I wouldn't trade Zeke for that, and definitely wouldn't add another piece to it

Like you said, he's gotta be willing to overpay. If McCaffrey turns out what we HOPE he is, then he and Cooper are a nice return, but right now you are assuming too much risk. I'd pass.

After how zeke played last year i would try to get a more solid RB from him. The cooper offer is ok. If he gives you a solid RB then it would be a great deal and i would let him have diggs or coleman.

Thats how I feel about it. Cooper and McCaffrey both have a lot of potential but Zeke is Zeke. Guy is going to get 300 touches for the next 4-5 years

Deal being discussed now is Zeke Maclin Wilson for Cooper McCaffrey Carr. I think its close but still very much on the fence to let Zeke go

Easy accept for me...yeah zeke is awesome but when Cooper is a WR1 and looks amazing you will be kicking yourself.

It comes down to Cooper. If you believe in him then accept! if you're on the fence then decline. Personally I see Cooper taking a big jump...top 5 WR in 2017 season.

Also : in terms of start up: Zeke goes 1.01-1.04
Cooper goes 1.05-1.10
Mcaffery definitely covers the gap and you get a QB upgrade ! Carr>Wilson IMO

I would pass on those deals. He came to you and he needs to overpay, if anything, before you trade Zeke.

That's kind of where I am. I see the value of the Cooper side but still hard to let Zeke go

Would he go for Howard+ one of your WRs for Cooper? You can definitely use an elite WR to build around (Diggs, Docston, Coleman are nice pieces, but wouldn't want to depend on them as my WR1)

Tried that already but came up short. He seems to just want to do a big homerun trade in Zeke

I'd see if you could land a OBJ/Evans or try to buy low on Nuk/ARob (Sammy/KA to a lesser degree)+ for Zeke (or Howard+ like I suggested above. Howard's value is close to his ceiling imo so I'd look to move him-the Bears situation doesn't look to be too good). Your team is good (without seeing your league, I'd say top 6), but I think is missing some top end assets to solidify yourself as a top team.

I personally like the Cooper offer. I get the fact that he came to you. Make a league post saying you will consider offers for Zeke and explain what you're looking for. This may get him to up his offer.
