Rank these Rookie RBs...

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rank these Rookie RBs...

Postby brewster » Thu May 18, 2017 9:26 am

How do you rank the following in PPR scoring?

Foreman
Kamara
Mack
JoeWilliams

Feel free to elaborate. I'm looking at mainly 2nd round rbs (based on rookie drafts) and I have them pretty close to each other so curious to see what you guys think.

Joe Williams - for the purpose of recent news. Albeit this kid might not even on a roster next year as he might retire.
Mack - Due to Gore and Turbin
Foreman - Think he replaces Miller in a year or two
Kamara - Dont know his role yet. And really unsure of his abilities due to small sample size of work.

He "quit" for awhile due to stress from the passing of his sister. I don't think that should be held against him.

Agree

As for me

Foreman- will be a great back and take over as a full lead back in a year or two
Kamara- ton of upside don't know his role though
Williams- 49ers love him and they have Shanahan bonus points
Mack- Good but not great back with a good but not great situation

I agree with this. Foreman is going to be good sooner rather than later. Watch out Lamar Miller.

Williams- Shannahans wanted him, he makes rb's fantasy stars
Mack- only has a 34 yr old rb ahead of him, has the passing game to free up the box
Foreman- could easily take over as lead rb after this season
Kamara- tons of upside, crowded backfield, could emerge next year as lead rb

I'd put Mack on top. He may be starting by year end.
Same with Williams. But Mack is on better offense.
Then I'd go Foreman and Kamara.

From a talent perspective, not dependent if they'll be an immediate player:

1. Foreman
2. Williams followed by Mack
3. Kamara.

1) Williams--love his game and his situation
1a) Mack-love each slightly less

Distant 3) Kamara--like his game...the Saints backfield, not so much.

No Thanks) Freeman--his ball security is going to kill his career if he does not fix it. Someone else can take that risk.

Kamara - Intriguing long term value/small, high draft capital invested, size = small upside though?
Foreman - Decent draft capital invested, but Miller is too talented to become irrelevant anytime soon. I see a CJA/Booker style RBBC happening here. Upside is high though

Mack- Gore has to break down eventually... right!?

Williams - JAG some beat writers are hyping because Shanny reached for him 3 rounds too early. I'd be look to sell in the offseason to a nervous Hyde owner.
