Trading Up from 1.08 to 1.01 or 1.02?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading Up from 1.08 to 1.01 or 1.02?

Postby colonnaj94 » Sun Apr 30, 2017 11:33 am

Hey guys, so I currently have 1.08, and I was going to try to move up a few spots to get a more desirable pick, and then hopefully make another move to get 1.01 or 1.02 to land Corey Davis. I have an offer out of my 1.08, 2.05, and 2018 2nd for 1.04. Is that a fair deal? Do I need to add more to my side? How much more? Team 1 in my signature.

Also, if I do get 1.04,
is 1.04 + Marvin Jones + another player (For example, Rawls) enough for 1.01 or 1.02?

I'd do the deal for the 1.04 pretty easily. I'd be willing to add another piece if that gets it done. Maybe Frank Gore or even Blount?

As for your second question, I don't think that'd be enough, but could be worth a shot. Might depend on the owner's team who has the pick.

The first deal may get done. Your second suggestion won't. Marvin Jones will barely move the needle. Rawls will have zero impact.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

How would you improve the 2nd offer?

As an owner of the 1.4, I am not taking that. For me to not get cook at 4, I need a lot more than the 1.8. those 2nds mean nothing. Honesty, 1.8 and 2018 first won't get it done. It will be harder for you to get into the top four vs going from 4 to 2.

if it helps gauge value. I traded 1.4 + Sterling Shepard to get 1.2 yesterday. Marvin Jones won't be close to enough

Right now there is a chance I could land 1.02, just waiting to hear back from other owner, who said it was a nice offer but still a little light so I added to my 2018 2nd to this deal (Originally I offered Luck/1.08/Marvin Jones for 1.02)
The new offer is
I give Andrew Luck, 1.08, Marvin Jones, 2018 2nd
I get 1.02

Don't think either offer would be accepted and adding more to either or both would gut your team when you don't have your own 1st in 2018. Not a good idea.

Stay put or find less expensive pieces. You can contend with Luck and Zeke as the base of your team.

No way I am giving up an elite QB on top of anything for a rookie WR. That's just throwing value away for no reason.
