Postby Kramer » Sun Apr 30, 2017 12:06 am

I'll keep this one short and simple. Team 1 below.

Give: Dalton, Doctson, Eifert, 1.07
Get: Nuk, 2.01

Pick a side.

Its closer than I originally thought, but I have to go with Nuk here. Dalton does have added value in a superflex and they just added a bunch of new weapons in the draft, so I like his outlook. Doctson is also a top 3 pick from last year and Eifert is productive when healthy.

I think essentially this is about 3 to 3.5 firsts worth of value for Nuk, which is fair. But when you consider the roster spots you have to clear (cant ignore that value either), it is really just a matter of preference. And I love Nuk lol.

I think that you have enough draft picks to make up for the players that you are trading away. I'd make the deal.

I definitely have enough depth at QB to not worry about losing Dalton (although, I do think he'll have a great year). And there are plenty of solid TE prospects to choose from as well. And Doctson is still a prospect. I just feel like I'm giving up too much.

What do people expect from Nuk this year with Watson at QB?

Your depth at QB allows you to make this trade. But this is a very big price to pay. I'd prefer to remove either Doctson or Eifert and it would still be a small overpay in a Superflex league.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

The sum of what you're giving up, I agree, is greater than the return.

But the value of Nuk is so far beyond any of the pieces that you're giving up (even in a 2QB league), that's it worth it. And you're trading from depth overall and have the picks to replace what you're giving up.

Look, if you can negotiate something better, then do it! Even if it's removing the picks from the trade. But, in the end, you're getting a premium asset without even giving up a second-tier player. Gotta do it.

This is where I was at. Unfortunately, this is probably what it'd take to get a player like Nuk in this league. Nobody likes Dalton enough to pay much for him in this league. I've tried over and over with most of the teams to see if something might work. I might just have to take a loss and take the deal and have a WR to build around. It's interesting that the poll results are the opposite of what we are thinking.

He wants even more than this from me. Since I already feel like I'm overpaying, I'd rather not add yet another prospect in order to get it done. I might just have to draft my WR1s or hope somebody pans out. I don't think I'm getting Nuk most likely though :(. Thanks anyway guys.
