Retooling my roster - need some advice

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Retooling my roster - need some advice

Postby Hambone » Sat Apr 29, 2017 1:18 pm

It's a 12 tm PPR, with RBs getting an extra .25 per carry, so RBs carry extra value here, and I didn't have any good ones until I made a trade today, but well off at WR...my roster:

Winston
Gurley, Gio, D.Henry, Duke J, Ivory/Yeldon (now worthless)
Cooks, M.Thomas, Watkins, Ty Williams, Hogan, Sharpe, DGB
Kelce

1.02, 1.04, 1.11, 2.02

I made a huge trade - I sent Nuk, my 2018 1st (would guess mid as of now) and a 2018 2nd (not mine, acquired in a deal, also mid round) for Gurley, 1.04, 2.02 and DGB

I plan on taking some combo of LF, CMC, Cook, Mixon and C.Davis with 1.02 and 1.04, depending on who goes 1 and 3. I have a standing offer of trading M.Thomas and the 2.02 for A.Brown. Should I make that deal given my roster now? I also may look to deal D.Henry for a WR now that I will have some RB depth...what caliber WR should I look in return for him? Thanks

I'd move that for AB. Mike Thomas is a nice player but he's a lot more potential now than proven player. Many guys have slipped after a promising rookie year. AB is gold!

If nothing else, you should be able to flip AB for more than that later in the year or just relax and be happy with AB.

For Henry, I'd look to see if 1.03 was available. In terms of WRs, maybe you could get Keenan, Demaryius, D Adams or maybe Dez/AJG if you can sell the youth angle and extra scoring for carries. That said, Henry is gonna be a nice asset if you can be patient until 2018.

First, I would do the AB deal in a second. Then you have Cooks, AB and Watkins as 3 top. I'd take Leonard Fournette ir Davis at 2. Then one of those rbs at 1.04. 1.11 should help some more with rb depth. Someone in the Hunt range.

But take AB. That would be instant accept for me.

I don't know yoir starting lineup requirements not sure you are that deep at wr. That's why I would take Davis. After your top 3, the rest all got hurt a little by free agency or draft.

And if you get Davis, I'd lean towards keeping Henry.

Just my .02

That's pretty cheap for AB.

Would Watkins/D.Henry/1.11 for AB/3.02 be preferable to dealing Thomas? I don't trust Sammy nearly as much as Thomas...
