2017 1.02 or Ajayi

For my team 1 below, I currently have Ajayi. I've been offered the 2017 2nd overall rookie pick. I know the first pick will be fornette automatically. Would you do this trade and why or why not?

a third of ajayi's production was from 3 games, i doubt he will be worth more than the player you take at 1.02 by mid season

1.02 is gonna net you a similar player and they'll have that draft pedigree that will give you more peace of mind over someone like Ajayi

I agree with this entirely. I was an Ajayi doubter, but he really impressed me last year. I am guessing those saying he is not worth it because he only had 3 big games didn't watch a lot of dolphins games (which I do not blame you for at all). The run blocking was beyond terrible for most of the season, and I don't think anyone short of Barry Sanders would have had more success with the brick wall he was running into. All that said, the 1.02 is the safer value.
