What's your thoughts on Cam Meredith?

In a 14-team league I have the 1.03. Team is mostly a rebuild, could be expedited with a big time WR I think. Notable holdings are J Howard, D Adams, W Snead, D Brees, and D Henry.

If Corey Davis survives to my 3rd pick, the decision to keep said pick might become harder. That said, I'm looking at potential moves to turn one sizable asset into multiple assets.

From what I saw, I like Meredith last year. What I can't tell is was he good because he's good, or was he productive because the surrounding cast of characters was so bad? Is he a WR1, or at least a solid WR2 with WR1 upside?

I was looking at the owner with him and thinking my 1.03 for his 1.14/C Meredith/CJA or Gilly (after the draft) or his C Meredith/D Moncrief/1.14 for my 1.03/2.03

TL;DR: what's everyone's dynasty outlook for C Meredith? 2016 an outlier or sign of good things to come?

I like Meredith and think he will be a solid WR this year, but he is probably more of a late first. You should get a lot more to move down from 1.03.

More of outlier to me, alone he's probably worth around 1.10 if you really want him, but I wouldn't pay that

Agreed. He looked really good but don't turn your draft upside down for him.

Meredith is the guy you buy for a mid to early 2nd to take the gamble on. He is the type of player you buy cheap in order to reap the dividends and if it doesn't work, you didn't lose a top/major asset on the gamble. The fact you are even mentioning the 1.03 in the same conversation as him means your are already paying for best case scenario and then some. Dangerous. Walk away before you get irrevocably hurt.

I don't like either of the deals you outlined all that much. If you're looking to acquire Meredith do so without giving up the 3rd pick.

I was going to post a question on Meredith, but maybe I can piggyback on this:

What would the value gap be between Meredith & Matt Stafford? I have Brees & Palmer as my QBs. Other owner has Matt Ryan, Stafford, and Garrapolo. I have a lot of mid range WRs (including Meredith), he needs some. 12 team PPR.

Agree with the others. Cam is a nice receiver, but those deals are not worth it.

I like him as a player. Not a fan of his team situation. You place him on a different squad and he is a top 15-20 wr imo.

I still believe he's fool's gold but agree a mid 2nd worth the risk.
My real thoughts are: I CAN'T WAIT for my non-waiver wire league draft. Someone will grab Meredith, Lynch, and other guys in first round pushing a more favorable person down the line to me.

I would take CJA over Gill in that offer first offer but I do like either offers..

Pretty close depends on if you want 2 WRs and a decent pick or WR , RB
