Vauing Devy 2018 Pick

How would you value your 2018 devy pick? We are currently in our start up draft. During the start up draft we can draft rookie picks for this season as well as our devy picks for this season. I was hoping to get the 1.1 devy pick but missed out. I grabbed the 1.2 devy pick. The rookie draft each season will be 4 rounds. We can have 6 players on our devy squads. Once we finish up our start up we will jump straight into our rookie draft then into our devy draft once we are done with our rookie draft. I made a opening offer of 8.9, 10.9 and my 1.2 devy for his 9.8, 12.3 and 1.1 devy. He declined and says he wants my 7.2 my 1.2 devy and my 2018 1st round devy for the 1.1 devy. Seems like a pretty crazy overpayment. He said I could counter back but is it even worth it? Not that much difference in Barkley vs Guice for such a overpayment.
