Gut says to pass on these offers, what say you?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Gut says to pass on these offers, what say you?

12 team PPR dynasty league. Actually have 2 offers from the same owner, a 3rd from a different owner.

Give 1.7 & 2.1
Get: 1.5

OR

Give: Melvin Gordon, Hunter Henry, 1.7, 2.1
Get: Gurley, Reed, Rob Kelly, 1.5

OR

Give: 1.7, 2.1
Get: Derrick Henry (this is from a different owner than the above 2)

I think Gordon and Gurley are really close, and while Reed, when healthy, should likely outscore Henry, I actually like Henry better long term (I worry about Reed's concussion history)

What do you guys think?

Current Roster below (start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1flex)

Winston, Rivers, Palmer
Gordon, Miller, Lacy, Gore, Jon Wililams, Jacquizz Rodgers, Draughn, Alfred Blue, Matt Jones
Julio, AJG, Cooks, White, Snead, Desean, Patterson
Henry, Ebron
Picks 1.7, 2.1

Def pass on two and imo either trade 1 or trade 3 are identical. I would rate henry right around the 1.05 in this years draft with this years RB so it becomes personal preference Henry or Cook/Mixon/Mcaferty/Davis.

Personally I would make either trade 1 or 2 so move up into the top 6 because of the clear tier break after the top 6

These are all pretty fair offers. I think I'd take the 1.05 for that. You'll be getting a much better prospect with that than you will with the 1.07 and early 2nd (but it is close).

The second offer, I agree with you that Gordon and Gurley are close. If you prefer Henry over Reed (which isn't that ridiculous), than I wouldn't blame you for passing. I do think the value is on the Gurley and Reed side, however.

The third trade, I'd give that for Henry pretty easily.

So which is the best Goddard, if you had your choice, and I do. I LOVE Reed, I'm a diehard Skins fan, but I'm in 16, yes 16 dynasty leagues, and I think I own Reed in like 7 or 8 leagues...so a part of me thinks I'd be smart to not keep buying, if heaven forbid, he gets another bad concussion. When healthy, I do think he's the best TE in FF right now though.

I like this one:

Give: Melvin Gordon, Hunter Henry, 1.7, 2.1
Get: Gurley, Reed, Rob Kelly, 1.5

Gordon to Gurley is close to a push. Reed is a big upgrade to Henry and is the win there. It doesn't hurt you are also moving up 2 spots.

I wouldn't blame you for taking any of these. All very solid offers. 1.7 and 2.1 for the 1.5 or Henry is something I would definitely consider. Would you rather have Cook, Mixon, McCaffrey or Henry? All have upside but we know Henry will most likely be a workhouse back in a couple of years in a run first offense.

Even the 2nd deal is solid depending on what you think about Reed and Gurley. I personally would have rather Gordon than Gurley but thats just me. Gurley is very talented but in an awful situation. Everyone is very high on Henry and rightfully so but Reed is an absolute stud when hes on the field.

Honestly most of these trades seem like 50/50 bets and I couldn't blame you either way but I would definitely put some thought into 1+3

I think the 2nd one has the most value. If you do make the trade, you can always flip Reed for another good TE and then some. That way you don't have to keep a player you don't feel comfortable with and get good value for him. As for the other two, I probably prefer the 1.05 slightly over Henry, so if I had to pick between them, I'd go with the first offer.

Why trade for reed, the guy is almost out of the league, he is a walking concussion.

don't bank on being able to flip Reed for more if you make the trade....

a lot of owners are scared off by his concussions

People say they are afraid of his injuries but everyone still loves Gronk, Watkins, etc

I would easily accept any of these trades. Specially, I like the second offer. A move up from 1.07 to 1.05 is HUGE, and I sincerely think Gurley is a slight upgrade over Gordon and Reed a big upgrade over Henry. Basically you win, win and win.

This for me too. The 1.5 might help you out sooner, but Henry might be the better player.

I've stated in a few threads I fully expect Gronk's injuries to ultimately end up resulting in his retirement before Reed. I expect the "walking concussion" and "one hit" idea to continue to persist in this community for the next few years.
