Re: Value Check: Adrian Peterson
idk if he stays healthy I think he can hit 200-225 carries , What he can do with them is a different question and I don't know but he could hit 1000 yards and be in the red zone a lot for chances for a TD in that offence , I mean why can't he put up 18 TDs like a worst RB Blount did on NE ?

Re: Value Check: Adrian Peterson
Was Blount really worse though? He averaged 3.9 ypc and AP averaged under 2. Granted, AP's sample size was very small, but who's to say that wouldn't have been the norm? I think AP will get his chance in NO, but I wouldn't expect 1,000 yards or anywhere near 18 TDs. He should still be splitting time with Ingram and I think Ingram is the superior talent at this point in their careers.AresGodOWar wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2017 2:39 pm idk if he stays healthy I think he can hit 200-225 carries , What he can do with them is a different question and I don't know but he could hit 1000 yards and be in the red zone a lot for chances for a TD in that offence , I mean why can't he put up 18 TDs like a worst RB Blount did on NE ?
I'm only buying AP if I know I can flip him for something better. Even as a contender, I wouldn't want to rely on him helping me win a championship.

AP was on the worst OL like ever lol .. AP seems like he takes a game or two to get going because he dont play preseason he put up just as bad numbers his 1st game in 2015..Goddard wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2017 2:50 pmWas Blount really worse though? IDK I mean I'm not going to over hype AP and say he is going to get 1400 yards and 20 TDs but I think he can get around 1000-8 in a full year , I don't own him in any leagues I traded him and McFadden for 2.02 , 3.02 right before FAs started signing couple months ago

Re: Value Check: Adrian Peterson
I agree about the O-line and there were obviously different factors and variables as well. I just think he's past his prime at this point and not even sure he'll be able to stay healthy if he was given a full workload. That's a great trade for you btw, being able to get that for basically just AP (McFadden isn't even rostered in a lot of my leagues anymore).AresGodOWar wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2017 2:56 pmAP was on the worst OL like ever lol .. Re: Value Check: Adrian Peterson
Wouldn't you think if AP was half as good as some of these projections, some team that really needed a running back would have signed him. I think it says a lot that he had to settle for way less money than he wanted in a back-up roll. IMO, his only hope is that Payton is trying to make everyone think he is Belichek and make Peterson into Corey Dillon. I am convinced that is why he continually screws around Ingram. It wouldn't make him as bright of a coach to let Ingram punch in TDs (which he is very capable of) and instead gives carries to Kuhn and Fleener.

Re: Value Check: Adrian Peterson
It is annoying owning Ingram with Brees and Payton there , Ingram is a very good RB that keeps getting stiffedKazmo11 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2017 3:09 pm Wouldn't you think if AP was half as good as some of these projections, some team that really needed a running back would have signed him. Re: Value Check: Adrian Peterson
Hightower had 155 touches that need to be picked up. Plus no cooks.
Re: Value Check: Adrian Peterson
I'm a Minnesota fan (sadly) and wouldn't touch him. 4th round is all I'd pay. He may look decent at NO, but he won't get the touches to even be a Flex in my opinion, and that's on the big if of if he stays healthy

he's a guy that i'll buy or sell on draft day when I know exactly the return as my trade partner. there are going to be teams that want him and want to sell him. myself included both buying and selling.
