This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cashin out on Evans

Postby MMG » Mon Apr 24, 2017 6:45 pm

Hi fellas,

How is everyone doin on Draft week? Just hoping to get some direction with this possible move. Im entertaining the idea of moving Mike Evans in order to land a top tier RB.

As you can see my RBs are essentially non existent lol. So doing this, would I be a fool?

I send: Mike Evans

I receive: David Johnson

No bueno? Please any help would be appreciated! Thanks again y'all!

In dynasty WR are more coveted assets but in this trade it is personal preference. Evans is younger and has more playing years ahead of him than DJ. Either way you can't lose.

Think I'd keep Evans, better long term value, see if he'll add a mid second pick/player

DJ is a beast but Evans should have double the amount of top seasons left.

You should be getting something added to DJ.

I agree with the statements made regarding Evans having double the amounts of top seasons left. I also agree with the above statement of getting something added to DJ. I am a strong proponent of trying to maximize trade potential. If you were able to get something added to this and it was something of a quality caliber of production then this could be the deciding factor in trading Evans for DJ, IMO.

Otherwise, I am not really sure if I pull the trigger if I am you.

Toss-up, but I lean DJ. Evans likely has more top end seasons left than DJ, but DJ's top end seasons are likely to be more impactful.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Never buy rbs at peak value and the dynasty format will be good to you.

I traded Evans for Zeke. I wanted a mega stud RB. Go get your guy. It would technically be an overpay, but not franchise-crippling at all.
