Cashin out on Evans

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

strictly value speaking Evans>DJ just because of seasons he has left as WR vs. RB average lifetime. I would try to get solid RB (not DJ type caliber obviously) by shifting your other younger WR. All that being said if you love DJ go get him and don't look back.

Plus, Evans is (barring injury) a perennial must-start for the next decade, regardless of his QB or team.

Thanks everyone for all your opinions and help! I really appreciate it. It sounds like I need to back up off the ledge overall lol. I totally agree that Evans is a great asset to have, but good gracious my RB's stink and it's a league that isn't too active and any sort of convo with another owner is rate haha

Thanks again! Always appreciated :D

If that's your guy go get'em but also look at the make of your team once the trade is made. What does your draft picks look like? Maybe paring one with a player to get another RBI also

This is what I was gonna say. Everyone knows you have to overpay for the elite guys, so If I'm moving an OBJ/Evans/big 3 RBs), I'd want to upgrade multiple spots on my team. You might not be getting the elite tier RB, but you can get two great players, like Freeman+Keenan or something. I think two top12 players are their position is greater than 1 top3 player, unless that elite player will put you over the top.

I agree with lukky. Depending on scoring, a stud RB will put you further ahead than a WR will. It is a matter of whether you want that advantage for a shorter period of time. I am looking to win now, so I gave up Evans for DJ and a couple players that help with depth in a 14 team league with 10 offensive starters. In my league's scoring, even with regression for DJ, I should be getting a large bump in total points the next few years due to the trade.
